unfortunately there is no way of doing this unless you set it to 50. havent tried it myself but should limit you to pure neutral alignment. which is where you would be if you were playing as neutral :)

Of course you are right. That would not be interesting to eliminate that aspect of diplomacy. But in an empire predicated on legitimacy of diplomacy, the truly awesome weapons should be kept under lock and key.

Ok this will then be a requirement for this empire from now on. both you and i are exempt from this ruling until we get ourselves back to neutral alignment.

i will post a new thread shortly for the diplomats stating the requirements for the empire as being neutral. i also agree with the notion of senate support for the use of terror stars against words other than to 'culture flip' them.

Whew, so you're going for straight neutral only. That leaves the way open for the empire idea I had--the "Chaos Legion" or something the like, where the required alignments are any non-pure (aka only neutral and chaotic evil/good). :)

How does the metaverse calculate the alignment over a set of games? (Just wondering if what alignment I should try to attain in my next game so I don't overshoot neutral.)

You may have a little problem playing neutral as any games with a morality of 51 or more is counted as a chaotic good game. I also know 35 counts as chaotic evil but I do not know the lower limit to have a neutral game.

The one thing to remember about this empire is that the scores we get playing the game are not really the main thing.

Right now, that is the furthest thing from my mind. I don't even know yet how to check the score before the end of the game, so it's always a bit of a surprise when it is all over to see what score I am awarded...

Slothrop i would go for a pure evil victory. that way if it does overshoot then you only need a chaotic good t realign yourself. me on the other hand could take a while longer. simply because of the commitments to Stardock, the mods site, the Galciv library(here) and moderating the threads. :sniff!: Will get there though. :)

You are correct. If Slothrop is in agreement i suggest we go for good/neutral alignment only. try to keep neutral but accept good as well.

Of course not. As long as theres a JR and it needs a webmaster, I'll be there (barring any hugely world-altering events... let's just say I'm highly unlikely to go anywhere else) ;). But it doesn't hurt to have ideas :)

save the game at any point. got to options then resign. that will show you the current score (MVP[metaverse points]) you have. it will then give you the option of uploading that score to the metaverse. say no thanks. you can then load the saved game and continue playing it.

Yeah, but that's the score you'll get if you lose at that point. It gets multiplied by some number, depending on your victory condition. Your real score could be ten times that.
