The Torian free 25% morale bonus trumps any other race except the Drengin who also have a free 25% morale bonus. But the Torians get free 10% luck, 20% courage and better starting techs, so it's Torians hands down.

Yor - Good alignment - War party

The +8 logistics, and +25% miniturization are the highest of all races. Both traits are excellent for anyone who wants the most powerful fleets.

After some work, the good alignment also provides a +35% to defense, and a +5% hit points above and beyond the other alignments.

The Dmer - they're the ultimate annoyance in some games due to their ability to rapidly cause crime to increase along with the space pirates, and are even lethal to your trade routes at times.

The Iconians, because there's something noble about sentient beings that has come back from the brink of annihilation by other sentient beings and still wants to interact with other sentient beings, I like the idea of ancient technology and I like the name Iconians. I do wonder what their special race ability will be in Dark Avatar.

The Korx. It's just so much fun playing as evil capitalists. Usually go universalists so you get more evil colonization choices (luck).
