Martial Law? Initiating Galactic Council Meetings?

1. Is there an option to declare an emergency and bring
out martial law..pump out military production..quash
the senate?

2. Is there a way to call the galactic council to a
meeting a propose measures? Or must you wait for them
to call meetings and listen to their proposals only?

no criticisms ..just curious again as the day draws
near :)

1. I guess you are refering to your party controling the senate. The only way to "wrestle" the controll of the senate is to go back to Imperial government. That will bring your party bonuses back but will reduce your production.

2. Galactic counic meets every x years (dunno how many exactly of the top of my head) and no, you can not make proposals on what law will be voted on.

I think UP (United Planets or as you call it Galactic Council) is more there to mix things up. It is not really a diplomatic tool per se.

#1. Or you can build up the overall morale of your empire and wait for the next election.

#2. Requests have been made for a means to influence what issue gets voted on in the UP in the past. As with most requests, I believe Stardock has it on its list for consideration for a future update or release.
