Having a spot of trouble...

I need some help please. Its with Desktop X Themes. Some of them I just extract and click on and bingo, my desktop is changed. Others, well, I'm havin some trouble. They just spill their guts everywhere when I unzip. I have gone to Themes Mgr and Desktop X to load, but they are not loading. Is there some way I am missing to load these. Would appreciate your help. Thanks.

sorry, not sure what u mean. If you mean settings, that not what I'm meaning. I am having trouble installing DesktopX. Some that I install have the logo, which you just click, and its installed. Others are not. They are just all the parts that make the Desktop. Sorry, I'm trying to explain. Hope I am making myself understood.

It would be easier if you could post the links to some of the items that are giving you problems.

Could be zip files which need the extension changing from .zip to .desktop?

Hi, I'm not sure how to do that. Whats happening is this. Some of the Desktop X I download, I usually unzip first in my download folder and where there is a Desktop X logo, I then click that and its immediately installed. But, the trouble I'm having is with those that don't have the logo. So I extract them to Desktop X but they are not showing up. Then I go to Themes Mgr. and into Desktop X and click ADD and load them that way, but they are not loading. Sorry to be such a nuisance. I really like Desktop X because everything can be located from your desktop and there are some great themes. Thanks for your patience and time on this. I have also changed the extension from .zip to Desktop X but it still is not loading.

Download them through Stardock Central or Download, unzip and change the location.
1. Go to My Computer
2. Click on Hard Drive
3. Click on Programs
4. Scroll down until you come to Object Desktop
5. Click on OD and the Click on Desktop X themes
6. That should change the file you want to put it in.
If I am wrong guys let me know. But I have downloaded many doing it like that until I purchased Object Desktop.
