telling me
just how stupid
and why

you always
want better for your
kid
it’s the universal
but there are times
when the thoughts of
stun guns and kiddie
jails
don’t sound so
crazy

it happened when
I wasn’t looking
I lost a clue
my stature shrank
my outlaw face
no longer “phat”
just my stomach
