So after that 4v4, I figured why not try and organize another big game

It's hard to predict how long it can last, so I wouldn't put the "You must stay until the end" condition on signing up, especially since it's during the week and people have to work and things. But the condition I will put is not to leave when your flagship gets destroyed early on. Otherwise, stay as long as you possibly can.

So with that said, I'm available during the week from about 5pm Central time (that's what, 11 pm GMT?).

If anyone's interested, post here along with your times so we can set something up. Maybe even tonight if we're lucky You folks who were in our last big game better sign up

Also, I can host fine if that's an issue for anyone.

Maybe we should politely ask some of the map-modders out there if they'll create maps to fill in the gaps we're missing.

Make it 10 player Easier to play a 10 player map with 8 than an 8 player map with 10 And about half of our games were more than 8 players

but then in the far more likely 8v8 scenario we have 2 dummy players or dummy zones.

I think 8v8 is more likely to get played... sigh just have to make 2 versions...

wait, what was the maximum player limit set by the game engine? I thought something like ten or twelve. I mean there has to be some, otherwise it could evolve it a massively multiplayer online strategy game. think about it, dozens of stars, hundreds of planets and players joining, taking over empires of people who left, a living universe.

but no, I cant imagine the engine can take it (or for that matter most peoples' computers), so where will the limit be?

Maximum players are 10 at all times with observers.

From the FAQ

Q. What is the maximum number of players allowed within a game?

If we start a game on saturday or sunday, sunday is better for me i think the best time would be around 4pm gmt, that way us europeans dont have to play beyond midnight, and the us players dont have to get up absurdly early.

Thoughts?

That would be 5 pm here so I guess I might be able to attend. IF my friend doesn't become a father yet and my mom doesn't get ideas about what has to be done around her house, he he he!

Yeah, EST is -5 hours from GMT, so 4pm GMT is 11am EST.
