Organizing another big game

Organizing another big game

So after that 4v4, I figured why not try and organize another big game

It's hard to predict how long it can last, so I wouldn't put the "You must stay until the end" condition on signing up, especially since it's during the week and people have to work and things. But the condition I will put is not to leave when your flagship gets destroyed early on. Otherwise, stay as long as you possibly can.

So with that said, I'm available during the week from about 5pm Central time (that's what, 11 pm GMT?).

If anyone's interested, post here along with your times so we can set something up. Maybe even tonight if we're lucky You folks who were in our last big game better sign up

Also, I can host fine if that's an issue for anyone.

3pm eastern is a decent start time; a little more forgiving to those peeps across the pond... at any rate; yeah the 5v5 was Decided within 2 hours, mainly because of the map; Next time I want a random huge or something... I think that will play out better.

If we get enough for 3v3 I call it a success

Annatar11
Paradoxnt
Gauntlet

Maybe,

ShadowHal
Multianna
...Eets??
...Ron??
...Random whoever...lol

hey can I jump in on this? some time just opened up.

Go on IRC, we shall plan.
lol after we killed schem (best part) and as he left the next in line was bobblhead to host, but he cant host so the game dropped and all got kicked

I hope they fix it somehow, so it will check who can or cannot host, cause this is a game killer
Reply #85 Top
really? it was supposed to switch hosts.

well either way despite getting EXTREMELY lucky (and still being outmanuvered by me, hah!) you guys were getting raped from behind, that was classic.
a series of unfortunate events, anyone can see that.

Odd statement to make, considering how quickly we were able to take you out..

In the time it took us to destroy all your worlds, Giant and Hal only managed to take down one of Multi's border planets and my main fleet was already at Multi's homeworld at full strength and with reinforcements incoming. Multi was flying in as well. And I had a smaller fleet trying to help out our other teammate a bit several jumps south, which I could've also brought into the battle. So, far from 'raped from behind'. Fact: You were wiped out at the cost of one planet. Good trade off, I'd say. Another fun fact: I arrived at Multi's homeworld just in time to save it from the pirates, they bombed it down to 200hp

It would've been a lot of fun to continue and see what Hal and Giant would've done next, but at that point the only surprise attack they could have done where it would have taken Multi or myself some time to reinforce was my asteroid one jump south of the volcanic they just destroyed, but they probably didn't know I had shipyards there to reinforce Multi faster and I would expect them to continue hitting Multi, leaving our AI friend alone

yeah, i was like OMFG help me please...... LOL

Schem one thing i didnt understand when i fought you the first time, was that you were outnumbered by me and would clearly lose, but you kept having your marza there. And only when it had around 300hp left you choose to retreat.

It was a fun game indeed, tobad we have "rage quitters" as schem call them, and the game dropped.

again, since you werent listening: I was isolated and careless with my scouting, you won by a coalescance of bad luck and one bad choice.
In the time it took us to destroy all your worlds
lol! you mean my one planet w/ no defence whatsoever vs. 2, nearly 4 of your planets, yeah congrats.

!!!
I didnt know you screwed up that much I was merely talking about my allies.
And I had a smaller fleet trying to help out our other teammate a bit several jumps south, which I could've also brought into the battle

did you happen to notice the 30 ship fleet at your allie's homeplanet? apparently not

as for that small fleet, the damage was almost complete.

there really isnt a way for you guys to get around it. I notice you havent placed the replay! you guys made many blunders just to take out one single crippled, already useless person
it was terrible decision making.

Thats not true, you had your fleet there.

omg, you sound like what you did was perfect... which the result shows not is correct.

Comon give it up already, you lost this time. Maybe next time you will get "EXTREMELY lucky" as you put it.
Theres no way to predict the outcome of the game if it had continued

If you cound our ally's down south planet, then yes 2, although the attacking fleet was beat and none of the ally's structures were destroyed. It was just a matter of time to get that planet back, especially considering it didn't rebuild much infrastructure after being taken over. I fail to see where you get 4 from, though.

Erm, considering my single-Sova fleet with Cobalt/Javelin support managed to destroy a Marza and make a Dunov and Akkan retreat at that ally's homeplanet, I can safely say there weren't 30 ships there Unless you're talking about the AI that we got stuck with early on? Then yeah, I wasn't paying attention to him

I didnt know you screwed up that much

Please. The pirates did no permanent damage and trying to chase after them would've delayed wiping you off the map. 200hp or no, it survived and in the next 2 minutes would've been at full health.

as for that small fleet, the damage was almost complete.

I may have lost a few frigates, my Sova was still quite alive so hrmm..

I notice you havent placed the replay!

You can do it just as well, why haven't you?

I must admit, as fun as arguing with you is I'm about done. No matter how you slice it the fact is: we eliminated one player from your team, we lost 2 planets (one of which would have been taken back shortly). And this was with an AI from the early on, versus 4 humans

The blunders were yours to be so careless with your ships, and you were no more isolated than anyone else. I was 4 jumps from the nearest planet Multi owned, and we still managed to work together

Guys you forget who you are talking too. You are talking to Schem.

He is like a dog with his higher brain functions removed. It will still bark after being beaten instead of admitting defeat.

So let him lick his wounds in peace and quite and he wont bark untill the next battle. Seeing as he thinks what he did was perfect he will be just as easy to beat again

oh do not compare 15 cobalts and a lvl 1 dunov against the overkill that you guys brought.
omg, you sound like what you did was perfect... which the result shows not is correct.

multi, you let pirates get to your homeworld... what I did was good in comparison, even taking down a high level capital with cobalts.
Comon give it up already, you lost this time.

yes I lost, but I did boatloads more net damage than you guys did. thats what matters.
If you cound our ally's down south planet, then yes 2, although the attacking fleet was beat and none of the ally's structures were destroyed

you seriously DIDNT notice the giant fleet next to diddlie's homeworld?
it was 2 jumps from yours ana!
Please. The pirates did no permanent damage and trying to chase after them would've delayed wiping you off the map. 200hp or no, it survived and in the next 2 minutes would've been at full health.

oh look how multi panicked, you didnt plan that. it was a huge blunder on your part, a BARE scrape past only means you got lucky.
He is like a dog with his higher brain functions removed. It will still bark after being beaten instead of admitting defeat.

dude, have them post the replay, look at how they all balled up to attack me and BARELY survived the process.

You can do it just as well, why haven't you?

I never save my replays, never look at 'em and I never post them.
I may have lost a few frigates, my Sova was still quite alive so hrmm..

I dont think it was your planet, but either way the health was down to 500, a few more seconds and kablooie.

frankly you guys cannot admit that you left your entire front open to kick a downed player, it was a series of noobish mistakes that you guys BARELY scrapped by!

Dude, take some Prozac and shill.

I hear differently.
because all you hear is what they say, and of course they're reliable sources.
They definetly are, more so then you I would say. And the replay will definetly be the best of all.

The discussion of who is right and wrong is for another time in my opinion.

This thread is for organizing big games, and its obvious you aren't quite ready. So take your bussiess else where untill you are ready for the Big Leagues little one
