You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

Thanks Mag. :) With my main character, about 7.5 - 9k, and with my secondary slightly less, probably due to the number of games played.

Hey guys, what's up?

I posted a game a few hours ago, got a cool 4080 points! Really epic one, too; lots of fleet battles. i'm thinking of graduating to Large maps and/or Challenging difficulty.

For shats and giggles, just up it to Tough difficulty. The AI isn't 'cheating' yet on Tough. It's just finally un-throttled. Play one game in a Medium map with that and see how it goes.

That's the spirit.

You'll be surprised how well you'll do even on Tough. The AI will think better (more like a human) but it won't progress much better than on Normal.

dose any one know how to get a favorite rave badge yet because i have been playing all my games with the Terrans. that’s all i what to ask. i ask this because most vets are in here.

I dont know exactly how that medal works. *shrug* It's not one I've really thought about that much. You might need a minumum number of games?

Correct, you must play a game in DL, but I think it will also take into account DA games for the racial victory medal.

Yup Dl for the fav race but any games across all three games count toward your racial medal. Not sure about the Krynn and Korath though.

Only all the DL races are needed for the Racial Victory medal. I was going for it the other week and got the medal before I got the Krynn in there. I guess they don't want to hold any medals back from people who didn't purchase the expansions.

Hmmm...maybe I will go for the racial victory. Doing it with ZYWs would be quite easy.

I couldn't change the super ability for the stock races in TA w/o being flagged as cheat, otherwise I would have done the same. I just played a tiny map and knocked out a game with each lol.

You should be able to - my last game was with Super-Breeder Yor (yes, the stock race with ARC for super ability and homeworld), and no problems with MV submission.

Seems to work exactly the same as in DA for what you can change - can't change the tech tree for a stock race though!

That's what got me I think. I tried to change the Altarians to use the Yor tree. The +2 inherent speed for Altarians lured me in, a nice +4 speed would have been B-E-A-utiful in a ZYW.

Bad me, I forgot I tried to change the tree as well.

Funnily enough, that's how I discovered you can't change the tech tree aswell  ;) 

I guess that's why I use a custom race for ZYWs

Posted this on my Federation and Empire posting but since its Kzinti related I figured it belonged here too:

Ok here is my custom made Kzinti Hegemony race logo transparent .png file. This will be in the ship set along with the circular one but since I made this myself I felt I needed to show off. So if you want to use it copy it off here or just wait for the ship set to come out.

For those who don't know the Kzinti Hegemony are the Kzinti of the Star Fleet Universe not ManKzin wars.

Also the ship set will include both race logos so pick the one you like best.

Because Patriarchy isn't a faction, empire or something that big. It's a leadership position often found in religeon. The Kzinti are a highly cultured race, they pray to the great Scratching post that they cling to after life and believe a great kitty litter box will accend from the hevans and bless them all with it's precence. In the name of the litter and the box and the plastic lining, Dig in. Litter relieve you. :LOL: 

It's not just eating they enjoy. they have their art work, their religeon, their movies (My favourite is the 'Phantom firehydrant').

A very cultured race.

Oxford English Dictionary:

Hegemony: dominance of one social group or state over others.

In the Star Fleet Universe the Kzinti are a monarchy. Thus Hegemony fits.

Patriarchy: 1.a system of society in which men hold most or all of the power. 2.a form of government which the father or eldest maile is the head of the family.
