Racial Ability inconsistencies

I have been looking through the GalCiv wiki and noticed that the racial traits on that site are not correct with the ones that are in the game. Which traits are supposed to be the real ones? The wiki traits seem far more balanced considering some of the races have left over points for customization while others do not. It also seems unfair that even with all of their traits the pregen races still have access to 10 more points for customization while the custom races only have 15. Also some races seem to have much better traits than others such as the Yor having like 7 bonuses and the Torian only having 3.

The most interesting situations can arise from "re-setting" any values, and by that i mean, every single slots possible until the house is packed for Yours or all opponents. Customizing power has a limit, though. I trust SD team realized consistant variables (as strange as this may read-out!) DO create a balanced gameplay.

At first, i wanted to test multiple conditions by changing these numbers in great lengths... then, it struck me. Did it matter that much? Or was i to consider the defaults fair enough and validated by SD bench-marking "real" programmers? Nope. Not at all. I'm the curious type, experimental freak at times. Just for fun if you must know.

So the above is certainly why i suggested (negative) abilities in another thread.
Pull this off (without affecting gameplay too much), SD, and i would tilt my hat to your visionary courage a few times.

As for having 10 or 15 points to work around with, directed at specific races in key-categories or not... i'll just add this - Choices were made, since they had to.

And, from what i've seen and read - a quite large number of gamers agree (or are fairly satisfied) on the features as implemented.

True though, that the wiki should get a good and recent overall editing session.

The ones you see in the game. The wiki is only as accurate as the last person who updated it.

If this is a problem, feel free to update the wiki.

You know the Nike slogan: Just do it. ;)

But please be carefull. Test data carefully before posting. Also, currently there are two operational versions of the game (DA and DL), and even within them there has been a lot of changes. You need to decide what of all that you'll cover.

Dunno if i'm the right person for the job... since, i'm fairly busy with the CoSH & X-Worlds MODS.
I don't think either that i've got enough gameplay experience to even pretend having a fair amount of information to post or share on the wiki. Maybe much later, i'll figure if it's really worth the effort or time.

But, what i initially meant is that whoever was the original "participants" to the curren site may need to return there and perform some updates.
Just the "Official Mod-guide" by CariElf is another important resource which could use much more recent infos & updated data about numerous gameplay changes.

Anyhow, the more help gamers receive (onsite and/or otherwise), the better.
