Australian release: Not released until April 18th?!

I saw that this game to going to be released on Febuary 4th. Seeing as that's only 2 weeks away I started to get excited but sometimes Australia gets games a day or two late so I went to check the Australian release date...April 18th! What the hell? Over a month and a half later? That sucks!

Why is Australia getting it so much later? :(

It's a long way away and the pink delivery ponies can't swim very fast?

It's probably the distributers fault, though you can always order online and get the download and box. With the current exchange rate, you're probably spending about the same ammount.

kangaroos suck.
The only worthwhile animals are Penguins and certain special breed of small horses ;)

The obvious answer is that the Sins discs cannot deal with the reversed coriolis forces in the southern hemiphere.

Simply put, the regional distributors are the ones you should blame, not SD -- they hand it over to them, then they hand it out to you.

Just a small question... will boxed pre-orders from Stardock to Australia arrive on the same day the game is released, or will they be sent on the day it's released and arrive a few days later?

As far as I know, they'll be shipped on release and will arrive whenever they arrive. However, as pointed out in other threads, if you order from Stardock direct, you'll be able to download the game also and play it while your box is being shipped :)

They will be shipped Feb 4. However international shipping and customs is likely to cause the shipping time to be more in the range of a couple weeks than a couple days. But as noted, you can download while you wait.
