After the success on the Troll Thumping Day Suite some members of the Mother Thumpers are coming together to create the "Happy Birthday Suit(e)".

I envision this suite centered around a DX gadget that counts down to your birthday. On your birthday the gadget will prompt you to download the most recent incarnation of the suite components so for your special day, your desktop will celebrate with you.

At this point we have some components assigned to artists but this is a collaborative project and welcome input and assistance from everyone. Please jump in and help out if you'd like.

  • The volume in the mini mode doesn't seem to work for me.
  • The volume bars don't seem to fit the theme still.
  • I like the balloon for track position but I think the whole track bar needs a frame around it.  Maybe just a one pixel one so you can see the end.
  • The repeat check seems out of place too.  What if you just changed teh state of teh word "Repeat"?
  • There are a number of places where you can't grab and drag that I think you should (like the folder in mini mode).  Can that be fixed?
  • I don't think we need "The Birthday Skin" text or version number.
  • Why are the Open" and "Repeat" buttons different"  I really like the "Repeat" style.  Can we use that for both?

RickJP...since you posted the LogonVista, why don't you post one of AV's original wall and one with the confetti added. I was going to but since you did the first one I would prefer you recieved the credit for posting all of them. You can use the preview picture from my dream for the confetti one if you would like. :)

Zoomba has other things to do.   ;)

One of the core components that I wanted was a countdown DX object that a user could load and on their birthday download and install all the related skins.  Barring that, I wanted it to launch the WC gallery with a search for "Birthday Suit(e)" so the user could download everything they wanted.

alibear - Thanks for the comments and program advice for the conversion! I believe anyone can use the musical note because it was in the first package of files AVMAN gave to us. If I'm wrong, he'll correct me and it'll be 40 lashes ;) . I'll send you the musical note itself.

1. Will change the volume controls in mini.
2. Which volume bars?
3. I can't do a border or anything, as it doesn't show for some reason.
4. I can't change the state of the repeat button when it is functioning, but what could I do instead?
5. I can't make the folder in mini mode into a moving grabber. I'd have to change the layer name to 'move' and then it wouldn't be an open button.
6. Got rid of the version number and name text.
7. Changed the open buton to be just like the repeat button.

  • Still think the stop button needs to be different in big mode.  Doesn't match.  Looks drawn on.
  • The plus/minus on the big version look out of place.  What about putting much smaller indicators
  • Repeat looks out of place in mini mode.  Can you slap it in a button like on the big mode?
  • As mentioned in the comments . . might want to replace the default interface button
Any other xion makers that can help giving a frame around the track position?  Could that frame be added to the background?
