Engin disabled + trying to retreat = bug

So ive noticed that if you give the retreat order (or just tell your fleet leave) but the enimy (vasari) disables the engins on one of your cap ships (TEC) then the retreat order is canceled. I lost 3 cap ships last night and eventually lost the game because of it. Finally by the time it was too late i figured out why my cap ships were ignorning my continual attemts to get them to retreat. As soon as the engin disable effect wears off they find the best target and start shooting, even if they have 400 health left. Im sitting there watching going NOOOO! GET OUT OF THERE NOWWW! very frustrating.

It's not a "bug" per se, it's just how the engine works. These abilities are considered "interrupts", so they break current orders and require you to re-issue them.

Yeah, it is frustrating, though. We'll see if we can improve the behavior on this.

it's ok if the engin stops or so.. but he canceled the order.. so you must sit here and click and click so that the capital goes out of the system without firing on ships.. that is frustrating (after playing it one day >_>) next patch you can bring on that the order dont canceled o_o.. (sorry for my english >_>)

This would be nice for abilities too. I know we've been saying this for a while, but it is annoying when you override the default target priority, then the ship uses an ability and gets taken over by AI. Like the Vulkoras. You force it to attack a planet, set its siege platform on autocast, and as soon as it casts it the planet attack order is cancelled and the auto-target AI will take over, so it might start flying around the grav well chasing passing scouts instead :P

We beta people never stop giving you guys a hard time though do we :)
