Hey, is there any way to turn off the minor races in the game?

Only the initial ones, at the start screen, were you choose the Galaxy site and that stuff there should be a button thats says: turn initial minors off

that has been in all APs, I'm unsure about standard GC

i dont have AP so... does anyone know how to shut them off in the normal Galciv? just wondering
