I am playing a game with Intelliegnt AI on huge map. 3 races are set to evil (Arceans, Drengin, Yor), and the rest of us are good.
Well, in the middle of the game Arceans and Drengin declared war on me. I managed to sucessfully survive Drengin fleet rush and never had any problems with Arceans because they are simply too far away from me and have plenty of other races to fight with. So the war continued and after a couple of years I was on my way to totally defeat the Drengin and become 'The number one in the galaxy'. But suddenly, out of the blue, an event pops up: "Fundamentalists....bla...bla...bla...against everything that is considered evil....bla...bla...bla thankfully none of our planets wished to defect." I think, ok....nothing special....just another minor race to deal with. But when I check the mini map my heart stopped ... LOL LOL LOL. ALL of the Yor and Drenging planets defected, thereby wiping out 2 races in 1 turn LOL LOL LOL !!!
I cant beleive this. My plans for galaxy domination are ruined. Fundamentalists took over so many planets, they somehow managed to get all the technologies other races have (and taking into account that I was by around 20 technologies ahead of any race - it hurts the most). Now I have to deal not with a 'minor' race, but with one of the strongest (if not THE strongest) power. Now my game is gonna get A LOT LOT LOT more interesting
. I still cant beleive this...this is such an unexpected turn of events that I have no idea what I am going to do next turn....Thank you StarDock and thank you Brad and all the developers for making such a game!!!
OK, I am off to continue my game. Elections are coming up and I have public opinion to deal with...
