Summer: My View of It

To tell you the truth, I really(really) don't like summer at all. My summer is mostly being stuck in the house doing chores and not being able to hang out with friends. In addition to all that, it's hot and dry outside. I'm sorry to complain because I'm a winter person, but still, come on. One thing I don't get is people just going to the beach, laying in the sun for hours, and then complaining about skin cancer in about 10 years. It's a damn shame!!! The only reason I would go out to the beach is to swim around or play volleyball or something like that. But I couldn't just LAY in it!!! It really makes no sense to me. I'm very sorry if I offend some people who do do that. Sun is for playing in, not laying in(so you can get skin cancer).
I usually use my summer to plan for the next school year. Next year I'll be in 10th grade which will make me a sophomore. I make some goals like improving my grades, make a couple new friends, maybe be in some clubs next year.
The thing that's been really annoying me this summer so far is that I haven't written a single essay, poem, free-write, or anything. I remember last summer, I had so much things written in my notebook, but now I either don't have the time or my little sister keeps following me into the room and then I can't concentrate at all because she thinks she needs to make some kind of noise with her mouth. She's always talking, non-stop! It's really not funny.
