GalCiv 2 = AP owners only?

Well, to say that the GalCiv2 website being restricted to people who bought Altarian Prophecy is something of a major insult, to say the least. I bought GalCiv and I enjoy it alot. I have Altarian Prophecy on my Christmas wish list, but to find out that Stardock apparently couldn't care less for me, as a customer, that I bought GalCiv. 
I fully expect all the Stardock loyalists or Altarian Prophecy owners to reply with "stop whining", or the like. Fine, that's your prerogative. I just wanted to register my displeasure with Stardock, with the humble suggestions they they seriously rethinking their marketing strategy and/or fire the person who made this decision (what possible advantage can they gain from restricting information about an item them want to sell, except from seriously torquing off a percentage of their established customer base?!?)
I have taken Altarian Prophecy off my Christmas list, and asked my family, if they purchased it, to return it before Christmas. And I will not be purchasing GalCiv2.
