Hey Fellow Stardock Employees!
In an effort to stimulate learning and personal growth amongst the art department here at Stardock, I'd liek for us all to use this site as a 'gathering place' for our artistic needs.

With a small team, it'll be important to keep each other on our toes, striving to keep our production skills up there with the big boys. To this end, I'd like to start initiating a bi-weekly "Art Assignment" (to be named somethign cool later) where we're given a task, and, after 2 weeks, post our results and critique each others work. Not an original idea, the boys at Ensemble (www.sixfatninjas.com) do this on a monthly basis with a topic of their choosing. I plan our goal to be more about 'learning new skills' than 'testing old skills', but I'm never against a themed assignment from time to time.
Let me know what kind of assignment you'd all like to see first. I'm thinking along the lines of modeling a human head, then unwraping/texturing it as a second assignment, but any better ideas are more than welcome! Can't wait to see what craziness we can come up with!
