How to get good alignment?

When you get the 3 choices I always pick the good one but that only changes my alignment by 1 each time and I want to get 90 alignment for The Better Way tech. Since you start off with 50, it would take 40 planets to get this. Is there an easier way?

I could colonize 40 planets and destroy them but I got this other problem. I think I got a bug in my current game where I could not land any more colony ships on an empty star which had several planets on them.

Some of the events change your alignment by more than one. I know I've ended a few games with alignments in the 90s.

The choices that pop up when you hit next turn change morality by 10. I once went good when I got the imploding moon event 3 times in 20 turns.

The amount you get per choice varies. If the good choice is no penalty or a small penalty, you'll get one point. If it's a medium penalty you can get five or so, really big penalties get you ten points.

If you want to work the system, send colony ships with 1 million colonists to planets you don't intend to permenatly colonize (PQ 12 or so) and you can make the huge penalty good choices without fear and dismantle the colony afterwards.

If you _really_ want to work the system, just send the ships all to the same planet and colonize and disband there repeatedly, in the current game you can get moral choices multiple times for the same planet, something they'll hopefully fix in a later version.
