metaverse submission problem

OK. I submitted my first win to metaverse without a hitch. Now I'm trying to submit my second win but when I hit the submit button it just bounces me to the main menu. I checked the metaverse and the score isn't there. Has anyone else had this happen??? >:(

Yeah, I've got the same problem. First game successfully submitted to the metaverse, several later attempts have all failed. I don't know if I've got a problem with my account, with my build of the game, or something else... I haven't sent a note to the support guys yet, I guess I'll do that next.

One thing I noticed about my games that weren't showing: the Alias I used was more than 2 words. In reviewing the Metaverse I didn't see any names that were more than 2 words. Maybe it can't handle more than a single space in the string?

I've had that problem as well. Of course, I just submitted the same game again, and now it shows up.

It's probably a 50-50 chance when you're past the first game.

Well, I have been trying to post for 2 weeks (6 wins so far), and never beem able to post one (:(
At least now I know enough to keep a save right near the end of the game so that when I can eventually post them, I can submit each game (lost the first 4 because I wasn't smart enough yet...)
Email to support on the issue has met deafening silence.

In my attempts I have noticed a problem that is you have had the internet connection active for a while , tyhe game doesn't seem to recognize it is connected. What has worked for me is to either save near the end or set autosave to one turn, then to disconnect and the reconnect to internet, then reload the game and then it should usually have no problem getting submission screen

Ah, thanks Dragonmack, that might be it! I've had that problem with other Windows programs before. I'll give that a shot next time I submit a score...

(I can confirm that it's not a problem with multiple-word aliases, my alias is a single word.)

I have a cable modem. I've tried to submit 5 games, none have shown up. Also, when I have joined an empire my name does not show up in the empire list.

It looks like this "connection recognition" may be the problem, at least for me; this time, before submitting my score, I alt-tabbed out of the game and used Internet Explorer to go to a few web pages, then went back to GalCiv. And, the submission worked. So, I don't know why GalCiv can't see the connection when Internet Explorer can, but this seems to be a common problem.

BTW, my machine is sharing another computer's connection to the net over a lan, so maybe that has something to do with the problem.

I have cable modem too. And all 2 games i submitted showed up. Actually I am only writing this to be able to see if my 3. game has been submitted ;)
Btw. Is there another way to check your score than posting useless posts in here?

You can go to the metaverse website and search for your username.
