A Few Newbie Questions, and Maybe A Bug

1) In the stats section of the diplomacy screen for the Dregin, I have the Espionage Priority slider set to 5 bc, but above there in the race stats screen where it says "amount spent on espionage against this race" (or something close to that) it says 50. Shouldn't those numbers be the same, or am I missing something here?
2) The technology graph on the right side of the screen says I am in first place, and the Dregin in third behind me and the Torians. But in the race stats section in the diplomacy screen the Dregin are listed as 1st in tech. My own stats list puts me at only 6th in tech. Obviously not all these can be correct. There are a number of other discrepancies between the graphs and the race rankings.
3) What does the "auto attack" setting for ships do?
