Possible CTD

I have been able to do this 3 times...

I have game settings to Gigantic galaxy, Common planets, scattered.

AI is set to SubNormal, and all are set to Random alignment.

It also only crashes after i watch the full opening video (the video with the robots welding the ship)...

CTD EVERYTIME (3 times so far, every time i have tried)

Does it crash if you set it to a smaller galaxy? Does it crash if you disable the video (rename it to colony_leaving_disabled.bik, or something)? Are you playing on a lower-end computer (minimum specs or less)?

Just a few ideas...

my specs:

1.7 GHtz Athlon
60 GB hardrive
256 MB Ram

I know that my PC should handle it...

This only started happening with the latest update (.049).
