European Empire Update

European Empire Update

Ok guys, to answer your questions:

Yes, Novocastrian stands for newcastle upon tyne. I'm half french half italian but live in the UK and also a big fan of NUFC, so I have to balance my passion for europe with my passion for the team. So here is the deal: I'll change the empire's name to European Alliance (or something else, we'll need a vote) once more people join.

Forget about the UN: our mission is precisely to create a bipolar system, s the rule of international lore obviously is not being respected.

D'ailleurs, je cherche a incoporer le drapeau en tant que logo mais je m'y arrive pas...laisse moi un peu de temps :)

Grazie a l'amico che ha gia deciso di lottare con noi - sto cercando di cambiare il nome come richiesto

The idea of a website is also quite cool. By the way, I have seen a few Belgian and Portuguese empires in the metaverse....l'union fait la force.

I have just won my second game and we are in the top 40 - and climbing.

It seems the europeans are up and running. I suggest 1 senator per country, that's indeed an EU thought. ;)

Great idea indeed, Freya!!!I absoloutely agrre with you.
This way we'll simulate better the EU parliament.
But please don't put Romano Prodi as president. LOL

Damian, can you honour the request?

"Impune_Lacessit" has the same first name as you, Toga :D. But of course you are welcome to join the European Empire ;)

To clarify # 32 more, New Zealand is English for Nieuw Zeeland, goes back to the days The Netherlands ruled the Seas. Zeeland is one of our provinces. Well, some education can't harm ;) :D LOL

And how should we decide which senators from which countries get the job? Should this work on a first come first serve rule? Should we have rotating senatorts, emperors, or both? At the moment I think we have one Senator per represented country, with perhaps Italy missing. Let me check :)

Do you guys now of a store in Belgium that sells it? I don't got a credit card, still studying.

I think the ones that join first should be Senators, at the moment there are 5, so not all countries have a senator appointed. It is not meant to be a lifetime job, so rotation is possible.

Ok People, have a look at the galactic map and you'll see a bright green arrow pointing upwards next to our name, as our little corner in the galaxy (2 percent...WE RULE TWO PERCENT OF THE GALAXY LOL ) keeps expanding. I think it is reasonable to target the 5th or 4th spot in the medium term. At the moment, we only have two members of the same nationality in the Empire. These two Finns will have to find a common agreement to rotate in the Senate. The following countries are now represented in our glorious Parliament: Italy, the UK, Finland, Belgium, the Czeck Republic, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany. Not bad, hein? :CONGRAT:

Swedish and French players have recorded some interest, but, unfortunately, they do not appear as members of the Alliance yet. What are you weaiting for?

I am concerned about this imperial adventurism originating in Europe.

Davide, don't be too modest, we target for at least rank #3 medium term. ;) Than we will hunt the # 2 and 1 down, unless they want to join the european alliance, of course (apolyton = greece) ;) :)

Hey, Ronald, welcome! Did I succeed in convincing you or did you find your way in here yourselves? :)

Ok People,

It might take me a while to bring in some decent scores as my last super game (the one which was easily over 1200) cannot register apparently due to the fact that I started it and finished in two different game versions. After that, some IT 'specialist' here at work ( ;) ) installed some software that basically made my laptop crash all over the place and I have had to reboot the whole thing. But you people can do well without me. Actually, when I look at the scores, it seems that I really am the most insignificant player... Hmmm "President" and insignificant, and Italian national...a perfect Galactic Romano Prodi. (:( LOL

I just love it to see us above Galactic Fist, for some weird reason. Freya, perhaps you are right about ambitions...should we start an aggressive recruitment campaign in the Apolyton area? After all, what do they have in common? They all play Civ? WE ALL PLAY CIV. According to the standard, we might as well make ONE galactig empire of galciv players. Our potential for identity appeal is, I believe, bigger than Aployton's

Lo and Behold >:(

I was already contemplating Freya, but you gave me the last push. :)

Well, Impune, competition is good, I mean the challenge of becoming #1 and THAN staying #1. It would be nice if alot of European players join our empire, wouldn't it? But of course everybody has the right to choose, frotunately. I myself was a member of apolyton, basically because he also has a fantastic Galciv side, and I joined him before they became #1. Than Fist of John appeared and then you, and I finally decided to join the europeans because I live in Europe. ;)
