Ok guys, to answer your questions:

Yes, Novocastrian stands for newcastle upon tyne. I'm half french half italian but live in the UK and also a big fan of NUFC, so I have to balance my passion for europe with my passion for the team. So here is the deal: I'll change the empire's name to European Alliance (or something else, we'll need a vote) once more people join.

Forget about the UN: our mission is precisely to create a bipolar system, s the rule of international lore obviously is not being respected.

We have now 21 players from 11 countries. UK and Netherlands both 4 Players! Germany 3, France and Finland 2, and 1 from USA (I think he is Belgian), Switzerland, Czechoslowakia, Denmark, Italy and Norway.

OH MY GOD. Wow, this is incredible - I reckon this is unprecedented in the history of the metaverse. From 48th to 4th in two weeks or so. L'union fait la Force. Hey Pomarje, it was only a matter of time, right? You are most welcome ;)

I was still 19th as Pomarje with only 1 member, but sinking inexorably LOL
I was expecting a french friend to join but he has hardware problems at the moment. I think he will join the Alliance later ;)
I am back to EU2 and HOI and won't play galciv for a while (a bit bored). But I'll be back with the expansion pack :d

Everybody needs a break from time to time, we all play this game so fanatically that it is un-avoidable at a certain stage we get "bored". Anyway, there is a new update with some nice tweaks to make the game more interesting again, so take a look at it. ;)

Impune, we leave the decision about who's to become a senator or not to you. But now we have some countries with two senators. That's OK with me, just nice to have a title, ain't it? :) But since we ARE the European Alliance and we ARE democratic, if you follow this policy, THAN EVERYBODY WITH A SCORE should be a senator. LordTheRon for instance, good guy with a lot of input in the forums. He has the same problem as we: too little time to play, and therefore a low metaverse score. ;) It IS difficult for a senator to devide time between enjoying the game yourselves and helping others to enjoy the game. LOL

HOI stands for Hearts of Iron, an excellent WW II strategy game (and EU2 is Europa Universalis 2).
I strongly recommend both in case you have some time left ;)

Ok people guess what. It seems to me that if we have one country with two senators we have problems as, as far as I know, Senators cannot be demoted. So Senators cannot be rotated - once you are a senator, you are one for LIFE, it would seem. So yes, I know, it would be difficult to establish criteria on scores alone (for instance, I would need to be kicked out :( ) and I just don't have time to play right now. So here is the ideal: we shall all be senators. What do you think?

Smeagol: after you completed the game, it will goto a summary page, click on Done on the far right and it will give you the options of submitting the scores...however you need to register with metaverse (can't remember though)

I'm working on a gigantic galaxy, AI's set to intelligent. As this point though, I have high doubts I'm going to win the game.

If only I can setup the Yor and Torians against eachother :p

At first the Drengin were being mean to me, but they got wiped out by the Torians in no time. I never expected that to happen so quickly.
Now the Yor are plucking off me, because my military is too weak at the moment.

Great game thusfar but I dare not to predict the outcome. If all goes well, the score should be good though.

"LordTheRon", since you are on a long weekend, probably recovering from your birthday party, you might be able to finish the game. Keep us informed about your experiences with Gigantic at intelligent level. I'm currently playing intelligent level in a small galaxy.

Playing gigantic on masochistic now.. Actually looking good got 40% of the galaxy now in 2182.

Anyways i would recomend a +2 speed startup on gigantic maps and go straight for trade and build two freighters and send them off then go straight for gravity accelerators and buy it asap. Also negativ production etc isnt that bad either ..if you get a planet that does -50% production it will earn more money simply because its not using all its money on the production. Oh while im at it if you want to get your population high go on the detailed menu on the planets and each round set the propeganda so high that your planet got 100% morale. Your population will boom.
