European Empire Update

European Empire Update

Ok guys, to answer your questions:

Yes, Novocastrian stands for newcastle upon tyne. I'm half french half italian but live in the UK and also a big fan of NUFC, so I have to balance my passion for europe with my passion for the team. So here is the deal: I'll change the empire's name to European Alliance (or something else, we'll need a vote) once more people join.

Forget about the UN: our mission is precisely to create a bipolar system, s the rule of international lore obviously is not being respected.

D'ailleurs, je cherche a incoporer le drapeau en tant que logo mais je m'y arrive pas...laisse moi un peu de temps :)

Grazie a l'amico che ha gia deciso di lottare con noi - sto cercando di cambiare il nome come richiesto

The idea of a website is also quite cool. By the way, I have seen a few Belgian and Portuguese empires in the metaverse....l'union fait la force.

I have just won my second game and we are in the top 40 - and climbing.

Oh good grief. I can't stomache all of this back- slapping (or in the Germans case: knee-slapping). Have your union, have you're number one spot. Its only a stupid game anyway

LMAO Chris, funny thing is, these guys over here actually think this game means something. You seem exasperated. But I really find it quite humorous.

Pontinus, can you count?

I must assume that this game means by far more to you than to us, since it would seem that none of us posts over three messages per day, while you have flooded the whole Forum with your hot air.

And by the way, I am not French. I quite like France though.

We are here leading the tables and being quite moderate about it. It is just a pity that there is no multiplayer - we would crush your pathetic empire (probably cultural win) and we would not even say a word about it.

You just talk too much.

Hey Impune, how come I don't get a mention. I was trying to stir you Europeans up too! I tell ya, in the 21st century Euros have to be the most placid people you can find.

Did I say how we Southern Hemisphereans look up to you chaps? And as we say, "If you are not number one, you have lost".

Oh, and sorry for calling you French. You may have said previously, but where does 'Impune Lacessit' come from?

Wow, gone for couple of weeks, and we Number 1 :)

"but where does 'Impune Lacessit' come from?"

Answer: Europe.

You guys just don't figure it out. When I read people encouraging us to adopt empires that better reflect 'our cultural values' I cannot help but answering that Europe is a cultural value. There is no one European State that does not owe much of its history, for the better or for the worse, to a whole network of European social, cultural and economic ties. People might think that the project for a united Europe is recent, but in fact, it's very old. I might even say that it is not a process, but a logical conclusion, a natural condition. So here you go: I'm an Italian citizen, who lived in France for 5 years, in the UK for 6, in Spain for 3 with an Italian father and an Anglo-Dutch mother, and who would hold four passports if it weren't for the EU (this might surprise you, but in fact there IS such a thing as a European passport: all Visa and legal tender requirements are done from Brussels, which means that all our passports read European Community before our respective countries...legally all EU passports are equal under EU law in any of the member states and in any state recognised by the EU, which is also why I can vote in Sweden or run for the European Parliament in the UK or ask for help in a Portuguese embassy in Japan...if this EU is not a social reality, tell me what it is). So, what am I? European. And since we are actually drafting a EU constitution, under Habermas' theory of constitutional nationalism, I have every legal and moral right to define myself exclusevely as such. Which is extra cool

Do you need Ukrainian living in Denmark? My first submisson to metaverse is quite impressive ;p

To 'gross' members: have you noticed that your pancy leader haven't submited a single PE game? Contrary, evilness of most memebers of European Alliance is a fact :)

I was looking for a short version of your name, but would not want to call you "even stupid". By decree I decide I will call you Sheva, if you like italian football I'm sure you understand. Ukraine is part of the future of a New Europe from the Atlantic to the Urals, so you are most welcome amongst us. Don't worry too much about Plotinus - we are hosting him and his crew as a gesture of charity in this thread. There must be some sort of natural disaster occurring in Grossland, and we don't kick out economic refugees here in the Alliance. Moreover, he obviously suffers from intensive attention needs, and the only way he can get the exposure he wants is by constantly hovering in the backyard of the Strongest.

This topic can't be on the third page. And now it isn't :)

Ah, still number one :) I'm involved in the C.O.R.E. mod for Hearts of Iron so it's been busy days as we just released 0.2. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to GalCiv soon though. Nice to see these forums getting better as well.

It is indeed a nice feature, but I would like to remind you all that the European Alliance also have their own forum. http://europe.coolfreepage.com/forums/index.php Everybody is welcome offcourse, but I would like to see them used so I haven't gone through the trouble for nothing.

Hey Kiwi Greg, you got time for this forum as well? LOL No discussions about historical accuracy here of course ;)

G-Force, I'm registered at the forum now. Are any of the guys around here into modding? I'm not too bad at scripting and debugging so could help out, we could look at getting a community project going.

Wow, in the last week the amount of registered members trippled, from 1 to 3!!

I've never modded something before, but I'm studying informatics so I wouldn't mind trying it out. Just post it in the forum http://europe.coolfreepage.com/forums/index.php and well discuss it.

Or go the forum and vote in the poll http://europe.coolfreepage.com/forums/index.php. It's in the European Alliance Discussion forum.
