Ok guys, to answer your questions:

Yes, Novocastrian stands for newcastle upon tyne. I'm half french half italian but live in the UK and also a big fan of NUFC, so I have to balance my passion for europe with my passion for the team. So here is the deal: I'll change the empire's name to European Alliance (or something else, we'll need a vote) once more people join.

Forget about the UN: our mission is precisely to create a bipolar system, s the rule of international lore obviously is not being respected.

Greetings all. I should inform you that last night a truck full with sherbert, sherri and ice cream pulled in front of my mansion, a bribe from the special forces. It seems Koala wants me to stop chasing him.

Since I can't say no to ice cream, I have decided to take a stroll. Besides, in all the empire hoping the EA didn't lose one member - so I thought I'll start a tradition, or at least balance things up a bit :-)

So, I'll be taking a trip. Maybe I'll be back, maybe I won't, but for now I'll be as mysterious as Cotal. toodels!

Real shame you leaving Harel, you realise offcourse that we can no longer allow you in the bunker.

It's a real that we've lost a member, I certainly hope this won't start a 'tradition'. Although I've no intention in following BlueSteels lead and disbanding the Alliance, I did take over the Alliance just like him. So let's all stay and continue the way we were, just with one less.

Someone traded the bunker for the barracks? Had to happen eventually. After all, most big empires did lose people recently. The Euros are a still a huge empire. I am sure that #1 is again in the cards eventually. Just have to muscle your way past a few determined obstacles.

Just noticed that Elzud is moving fast to...the great culture bomber :CONGRAT:

Just a little cheese - have you considered turning off cultural victory ? When the last AI planet has flipped it will be noted as a military victory and thereby making you score around 30% highe

No I haven't seen it yet, I'll go and see it next Saturday. I also turn the culture victory off :)

I still can't access our boards, I get a DNS lookup error. Any ideas?

The problem with the boards is likely to be a router or server problem with the host.

Another reason would be if the subscription has run out. Do you know if it is free webspace or if an annual subscription fee is required? (Looking at the web address I'm guessing that it is free).

It is free, and I can still upload new stuff, I just can't access them from Internet Explorer.

I think it is matter of getting the last forms filled, but you know how important it is to us getting that paperwork done.

We have a problem with one of our Xerox's and we just can't make it official before the 52nd office gets that copy.

Still doesn't for me, really weird. Anyway the website is now moved to the galciv.org domain. http://euro.galciv.org

I also installed the forum there, not being able to access it for so long is really annoying. Yet we can reframe from using the new boards for a while as it is an empty one :(

As for the peace, the discussion was going on in the forum wich I cannot access right now. So no decision as just yet. Howbout a cease-fire until we can get a final decision.

No, this one is easier, also for the Galciv community. It is easier to have all the empire sites under 1 domain. I think it is faster too :)

And it should get faster - the datacenter my server is at is about to increase its pipe capacity by a factor of 10! I can also provide other facilities that the "free" sites don't offer!
