there was nothing glorious when I cracked
that slacker kid, he was making out with his girlfriend
in the theater isle of the La Habra Movies
the tear above his eye squirted like some bad
Hollywood “B” horror flick
I wanted to finish the flick, but escaped by seconds
the police pulling in as we pulled out
when I stood screaming at the imagined D.E.A.
staring out the peephole in the door at 4:00 am and
blowing giant chunks of drywall with the
short barreled pump I slept with
it was only a crystalline madness with wicked paranoid
dreams and criminal intent
all that time in dark places where dirty deeds
would shame any hedonist
willing to let slide all transgressions as long as
the bitch was good
preferring blue pharmie over manitol laced
rocks
