Why am I losing money when my income is positve?

I am playing 1.3 and it says Im getting +50 bc per turn, my net income is like 671 and expenes are 580 or so. But everytime I click turn my my money drops and the numbers turn yellow. then when I open the gov screen and it still shows +50 bc a turn and the numbers go organe again.

This is a curious thing. Do you have any planets that are under class 15?

I wonder if star base maint. isn't getting counted or something. I'll be looking into that today.

I noticed this too. I tend to play close to the -500 limit and was suprised to have fallen below it on several occasions despite careful monitoring of my economy. Yes I had a 13 point planet.

Had this in 1.022zb version. Also had a few of 13/14 class planets colonised. You have to do this to have enough miltasry production when planets are "rare" even in a gigantic galaxy. If I turn it up again tonight after upgrading to 1.03 I'll try abd send in a zip of the save game directories.

I had a terrible version of this tonight! It killed my game. It kept saying my income was 100-200, but I was losing about 300.

If starbase costs aren't getting counted that was certainly account for it, as I had about 15 of them...

I simply could not make money and kept sinking farther and farther in debt, and everytime I adjusted the sliders to make money, I'd still lose.

I don't have any planets under 15 and I had no starbases when this problem began. I only have 4 starbases now and that can't account for losing 150 a turn.

I looked into this thanks to some saved games.

There's nothing wrong, it's that trade fluxuates each turn based on a variety of factors.
