Resources disappear from the map

If you discover a resource to put a starbase on, it will only stay visible as long as a planet or ship is near it, if not it disappears.
I think that this should be changed; once you discovered it it should stay visible. After all if you, James T. Kirk, would find one you would make sure that the exact coordinates would be entered into your database for future mining.

(Maybe James T. Kirk wouldn't because he would be to busy fiddling about with some alien knock-out. But Janeway or Picard would certainly be responsible enough :))

This is called the Fog (of war). But on the sector map it will show up as a small x. So you can always find it back, unless another empire takes hold of it, than it doesn't show anymore.

Bedankt, I didn't know it would remain visible on the mini map. But there's still so much I don't know about this game.

It would be nice if the resource was still visible even if another empire takes it. Now I need to keep a paper with a list of all resources so that I know where to send my Dreadnoughts.

If being a member of the European Alliance just means my scores will be added to the greater glory of it I would gladly accept.

Go to the Metaverse (see upper part of this page), click on Top Empires, you will see us at #8. (European Alliance). Click on that and you get the option to join.
