See the Walls?

The poem maker, the brick layer,
I’ve been building walls around myself,
creating a new haven, a new ivory tower with my
hidden emotions, hidden pain, hidden envy...

See the walls come down?
You’ve lifted them away, like leaves on the breeze,
beauty in your eyes, love in your heart,
and even though I may not understand, I do understand,
I’m lonely for the last time.

See the walls come crashing down around us?
One word, a single tear, a push-shove, a
painful fight, a hug and a kiss goodbye,
any walls I’ve built fall like a stone,
fall like the heavy-things, the pain and hurt,
jealousy and anger, the walls fall like tears.

See the walls come down?
See the walls come down around us?
You did this; I love you.
Make me think. Make me be.
I love you; will you love me?

No more insults, no more hurt,
I love you; will you love me?
Bare naked for all to see, these
heartstrings show with clarity, the masks I wear
cast into shadows, love shines and finds
me without disguise. I have beared my soul for you.
I love you. You love me.

See the walls come down?
See the walls come down around us?
Now we are together.
I’m lonely for the last time.

I'd just suggest "See the walls come down between us?" instead of "around us". Leave "around" in the very first instance ("crashing down around us"), though.
