I'm sure it's supposed to say tactical maneuvring in the SPEED ability popup, but I did get a chuckle out of that.

The Mauve Ring is much like the One Ring, only instead of ultimate power it gives you impeccable taste in interior decorating. Obviously, this causes a marked increase in the morale of your starship crews, and a consequential increase in ship speed.

And I hear that the Mauve Ring is an artifact from the time of the PreCursors. It's a little known fact that the PreCursors greatly admired the art of interior decorating, and was the secret to their intergalactic success.

yeah - those guys were big into show tunes weren't they? I also think I found a bottle of "Locker Room" amongst the PreCursor artifacts once.
