Cringe in fear do gooders. The G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy alienS) empire is now formed. In less than an hour we have jumped 95 other Pacifist Doo Gooder victim empires and lept into 40th out of 135 ranked.

We are an evil empire bent on controlling everything and showing all the other empires out there who's boss. US. Are you listening Euro-"Oh lets let everyone be a senator and give em a vote doo gooder democracy alliance?" We come for you.

For a limited time, (untill I decide otherwise) 5 Pure Evil games, (or just impressing me with your game evilness) submitted will get you a Senatorship. Later, being the evil empire pyramid scheme we are, it will take 10. Of course, being the evil empire we are, that gives you no benefits, no pay, but all the alien carnage you crave most.

Now we do realize that sometimes, you just have to fake being good. You sometimes just have to infiltrate that pacifist party. We understand. But we aren't a kinder gentler empire and don't let their pacifism go to your head. And just sometimes, you gotta let the Aliens live (where else would you find slaves for the heavy metal lava mines?)

In the future, we shall update each other in the empire via this thread, brag of our conquests, drink blood wine, and generally just poke fun (creatively and humorously) at those players whom we find to be too goody goodyish.

Our mottos.

G.R.O.S.S. Where being good is merely a temporary strategy.

Just win baby.

That is a pretty old one, my first post on this thread. (Gerakken enters reminiscence mode:) I was looking around at that time for an empire to join later. I had already decided I was not going to join an empire until I had at least five games in, and was already helping to shape empires even back then. What was bad about way back when was that there was basically no such thing as a theme empire that really advertised and built upon its theme back then. The upper ranks were full of regional empires and the web site based ones like Apolyton and GG. So when these up and comers called GROSS showed up swearing no allegiance to single regions or to web sites and turned out to be more than a guy or two having an ego trip, I eventually signed on. GROSS wasn't a top 10 empire back then, but I saw a lot of potential. Now I am with a very fine crew. (Gerakken snaps out of this sentimentality thing.)

We are now 100 pages strong. Threadzilla still reigns as the mightiest beast around, once again proving we're not just big, we're GROSS! :HOT:

Well as it would seem GROSS'ers, obviously no matter how much I talk about the GCCG and anomalous scores, the dev's still don't seem to read my posts, or at least not carefully.

I also don't plan to play at maso/gig so the devs wont think I'm exploiting the system. I suppose I could find some other way to exploit it, but I'm sick of all this BS.

It's obvious the dvs don't lie me, and I wouldn't be suprised if they even hate me because of all this crap.

Therefore, I am considering leaving for good, to keep away from all the accusations and lies about me. I've had enough of it, and despite all the support I got, the devs still aren't getting the message.

If I do leave, I hope you all can understand, but even as much as I love you all I just won't stand getting accused of all sorts of crap that isin't true. Sorry, but it's the way things have to be. I suppose there are other communities and games out there where the dev's have a little more tact for their customers.

Everything got way out of control, and the dev's took everything the wrong way and then on top of that they blew it totally out of proportion. Well as it stands, I'm not playing anymore GalCiv, nor do I plan on purchasing GalCiv 2, or any other stardock product at all.

The GCCG will be torn down soon as well.

I've had a lot of fun with you guys, and the game while it lasted. It was fun competing in the meta, and seeing all of my fellow GROSS'ers hang up there with me. I've had some great memories, and I'll never forget you guys or any of the good times we've shared here in threadzilla. But, I just feel the time for me to go is soon, as I suppose there are other things EBZ needs to move onto....

Ahhh the accomplishements of G.R.O.S.S. From small beginnings.. A vision, and determination. The first and still the best Space game themed empire in the meta.

All those predictions in the first post came true. Euro's Apolyton, both initially taken down by us. MWC, under heel.


EBZ.. Ah ah ah. Not so fast. The Crank is up to tough.....I'm trying to work it out on painful... I think I can do it. I've trimmed it to about 4 hours on a small tough now. With 1,09's faster tech tree, it could go faster. And when I do... You shall have it... If it's possible, your Crank will turn buddy. Count on it.

8 hours since Threadzilla has been fed. This doesn't seem right. Here's a tidbit. Hey! Watch the fingers!

If you choose to leave, I respect your decision. 'Nuff said on that topic - we talked in the chat room, and I've apparently said more than enough elsewhere in the forums.

But if this is about points - which is what the whole thing started with - I'm confident that you could stay in the Top 5 in the Metaverse under any scoring system. Maybe even make a run at the top if Ray and Pontius ever come up for air.

Remember, this is coming from somebody who will never make the Top 5 under any scoring system. I'm here for the community and plain ol' fun much more than for the scoring. You are an important part of this community and the place just wouldn't be the same without you.
