full moon
clear sky
cool wind
you and i

soft stars
warm night
a slow dance
by moonlight

bright eyes
sweet charm
love held
in my arms

small pause
long kiss
held close
bliss.

I like this one very much. I found that reading it out loud as fast as I could was kind of neat. If flows very well.

I specifically limited myself to the shortest feasible meter on this one; I wanted to see if I could create something worthwhile with such a short format. I thought about going down to 1-word lines, but that was just too short to manage anything meaningful from.

Although now of course it seems like a challenge...

gust
sky
us

stars
glance
warmth
dance

gaze
hold
charm
bold

pause
kiss
hold
bliss.


See, it does okay, I suppose, but you need the second word to really get things going. And then too, you lose the bittersweet sting of the title.
