What Did You Play This Weekend?

I had a lot of work to do this weekend, so not much time to play games.  However, I did take a little bit of time to give the Spore Creature Creator a shot.  My first impression was it is a neat tool that will hopefully compliment the game well.  Creating a creature of my very own was really fun, and it seems the possibilities are endless.

I was using the trial so my creation possibilities were a bit limited, but from what I have seen, the full version should be great.  The animations were very well done, customization was intuitive, and I really liked the ability to take screenshots, movies, and animated avatars.

I had a good time with the Spore Creature Creator, and it really makes me more excited for the Spore game to arrive.

So, what did you play this weekend?

I'm currently playing through Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl using the Oblivion Lost mod. Its one of the most atmospheric and genuinely scary FPS I've played. The fact that you can die easily if you're not careful just accentuates this.

Strangely enough, I played Carcassonne. What a surprise find for me. :HOT:

Wings over Europe, which I finally bought (now that Wings over Israel is out...)

Gamersgate, since Stardock doesn't seem to be interested in simulations. I hope Wings over Vietnam and Israel will be released at GG as well, so I can get the full merged install.

I borrowed Advance Wars for the GBA from BoogieBac like a year ago.  I finally got around to playing it this weekend. It's pretty fun.

Awesome.  Carcassonne is great.  Digital version or board game?  A few of us here at the office play the boardgame version every day at lunchtime.

I'd really want a similar 'feature filled' ship creature creator for GCII!

1) The GC2TA mod "Asa of Yggdrasil" by MrKorx
2) Continued working on Compendium of Super-Heroes.
3) Fired up a quick XCom:UFOD dos_box session to attack an Alien Base just for kicks while taking a few more snapshots in TFTD to somehow, integrate in X-Worlds assets.

Oh, bummer.  It is on the 360 though.  I know a few of us from the office play it on that as well when we're at home.

I actually played Indonesia, the board game, on Friday night. It's a really heavy economic game that took about 4 hours to play a learning game of, with three players. I've wanted to play it since 2005 when it came out, so this was a big deal to me. Everyone told me that Brass is better, though, so I'll play that next week and see if they're right!

I also played Fable, the Lost Chapters.

True... every minute or so i'm into TotA i get those weird ideas to fix this and then that and add a few gimmicks overthere just to "enhance" CoSH beyond what i was planning for as close as yesterday(s)!
Just cornering off the Hints popup left side up was such a busy time instead of playing. One must determine the priorities, anyway. Do i Mod for GCII or try anything else with different other games than my favorite?
;)
