Why are "Designs" and "Fun" distinct categories?

First, I'd like to say that the new website looks terrific. Somebody clearly put a lot of hard work into it. But there are two things that are bugging me.

Why do you have two separate categories for "designs" (meaning not based on the IP of third parties) and "fun" (a subset of the same)? I understand the separate "holiday" category, as this is a well-understood and traditional grouping. But doesn't having a "fun" subcategory somehow imply that the non-"fun" designs are somehow trite and ordinary? Maybe this is nitpicking; if so, sorry.

Secondly, is there a way to make it easier to see which themes are newer than others? Could the newer themes be tagged with a "new" graphic or something similar?

Aren't all themes "designed"?   ;p

I noticed this too, several themes appear in both categories, seems redundant.

Me too - scrolling through all the themes is bound to get a little old...
