October skies up above
my darling, my love
I keep staring at the moonshine so bright
I remember way back when
When I saw your face
Your eyes shined like diamonds, your lips were like wine

It’s so funny how time makes somebody feel
And you relive everything
It feels so real
And you reach back in your mind
and recall all of the times
that you’ve spent with just a few good friends

And the trees
they speak to me
They tell me, tell me what to do
And I follow the flow of the water down to you
And I try
I try
I try to live by what I say
And I try, I try to start it brand new everyday

Sometimes I wonder
where will it end
Sometimes I wonder
What kind of wishes you send
But then I remember all the people that care
I know we’re together
Oh yes we are
Our spirits in the air

I’ve never felt so alive as I do in this part of my life
The stepping stones that were there
Oh how they’ve led the way
I can’t explain
I can’t explain the way I feel
But I will live each day as today

It's an endearing thing... thinking about the past. How one thought leads to another, just as one event lead to the next. How sometimes I would give almost anything to go back and touch that moment again, but I know that the reality in my mind is better than any reality I ever lived. And finally, how I can laugh at how it was all put together for me--perfectly.
This is wonderful. Absolutely beautiful.
