He is saying, “I came with a sword to put a line of demarcation between truth and error, between light and dark, between sin and righteousness.” When God’s standard of righteousness is set, there will always be division. Without righteousness there can be no peace. Peace can never come where sin remains.

KFC, I'm not sure if I would say it's more prevalent today than ever.  During the Grecian and Roman empires gays were widely known as I'm sure other time periods as well. 

This seems to be a cyclical issue.  Today is not the first time people have had this issue come out and I'm confident it won't be the last time.

Lula, I think where it gets lost in translation is the definition of 'love' our neighbor even though I think deep down both are saying the same thing. 

Christians don't appreciate the gay agenda being forced upon them just as the gays don't appreciate the 'christian' agenda being forced upon them.  Note: Before someone tries to refute that I have had SEVERAL gays do the above to me personally. 

I think the big difference is Christians want you to COME TO JESUS, gays want to FORCE you to have things their way. big difference!! huge matter of fact.

I understand what you're saying but would argue that----- plain and simple----there is no Christian agenda being forced upon them....these Christians gathering and praying on a public street were well within their democratic rights to be there....period....Prop 8 was won by the democratic process.....the majority of the people of California spoke through the ballot box.....no Christian agenda was being forced upon them.....

While, yes, the gay agenda is being forced upon us....strike that, not just "us" but on all of society...and the activists pushing the movement along aren't hiding this fact....no, they have identified it and declared "war" against any who stand in their way...

That's what this revolt is all about....

Their agenda includes:

getting civil rights as a protected group.....

getting homosexuality taught in school sex education as just an alternative lifestyle...equal, natural, normal and good. ...

getting a repeal of various sexual criminal penalties......

getting stiffer penalties for "hate crimes" against homosexuals...

getting marriage redefined.....

getting the ban on homosexuality lifted in the military.....

getting the right to adopt children.....

getting a repeal of all the laws governing the age of sexual consent.....

Yep that pretty much sums it up. The Christians were praying as their religion requires, the gays should have been arrested for hetro-bashing. a hate crime.

I think someone should test that one in a court of law and see how it plays out. Now that would be interesting!!!!!

of course the latest in this non-ending (because they lost) saga is they are taking this to the highest court in CA to hear this case.....some are thinking the vote of the people will be overturned by the court.

Now I cannot for the life of me imagine seeing this happening if it were the other way around can you? 

If it does, we might as well just submit to a new dictatorship.  For what they did, like it or not, is the basis for the founding of this country.

I am sooooooooo tired of Judges legislating from the bench, they have overturned this vote once before and will try to do it again. When will the "people" say ENOUGH!

 Judges have been Dictators for the last 40 years at least if they overturn this vote AGAIN, it will be just another one in a long line of judges legislating from the bench, something the left has done for years now.

All I can think is if a few Supreme court Justices overturn the will of the people once more and somehow Homosexual marriage is made the law in California, and then as California goes, so goes the nation, and then the world, then we will have truly entered into the New World Order.

And in the NWO, verbal, sexual and physical attacks on Christians, like this we have seen in the public streets of San Francisco will be politically protected.  

Someone {preferably a Christian} has to take this to court and charge the gays with a hate crime, hetro-bashing, that they are being targeted just because of their sexual preference.

I don't think it's so much proving you wrong...for even I was anxious to read more of the details....and bravo to MIchelle Malkin, btw.....she's my kind of gal.

It's may be simply they don't want to or can't defend the indefensible for that always leaves a bad taste in one's mouth and lump in the gut.......while at the same time stubbornly refusing to admit that the Christians were in the right and come to their support by defending their right.

You make an interesting point.....however, Christians are not apt to react this way....first, becasue the so called "hate crime" laws are unconstitutional, and 2nd, any kind of bashing is not a crime per se, while physical, verbal and sexual assault is.

I understand btw, that the old woman who was pushed and shoved and had the cross ripped from her arms has filed charges.  

I find it truly incredible that anyone, regardless of sexual or political orientation, can condone and even attempt to justify such criminal and socially unacceptable behavior. Had the situtaion been reversed they would be the first ones screaming for justice. This was criminal behavior, plain and simple and no amount of twisted reasoning can justify it.

Frankly, I think the people subjected to this abuse should sue the hell out of the city for failure to enforce the law and protect the people. Assaulting people for simply exercising their rights is not acceptable, period.

Christians need to form their own version of the JDL {Jewish Defense League} A group of Christians that refuse to be trampled on, a group that will fight back and protect their brothers and sisters from attacks like this one.
