My first time playing SP :P(noob) some questions!!!

First of all! the graphics are not to bad or to good.^_^  ( I give it a 8.4)  But I must give the gameplay 9.4 even If I played a 3 1/2 houres. the concept is very good and very well worked out.

I think the interface could be more friendlyer. I followed the tutorials so I knew the way around, but it's not like HW where I could understand the concept right away and what everything was.

So I started a SP game with 3 vs 3

Me TEC, 2 normal AI(friendly) and 2 normal AI and 1 easy (team) on mid map (39 plantes)

I'm still impressed that I'm not defeated by the pirates because I found the bounty screen >.>..  the enemy's has like 7 plantes avarage and I 2  >.> after 2 hours play.

The main problem that I can't build any structeers anymore because I used my 24 slots is there no way to increase this. I already upgraded my homeplanet to the max but when I took my second planet (ice planet)

It would be logical that I would get extra slot but it seems I can only use those slots at my colonized planet ? true?

And is there tech map or something because if feels like I reached the wrong tech in the beginning and because of that I think I gonna die this round and not win it-_-  .. But I hope I still win this round.

and what is the avarage income for a ice planet? 3 or something because my capital now get's every second 12 credits

(sorry for the bad english)

@edit

And could somebody tell me how I could start the best way if you begin a fresh round

also how to tech the right way.

ships you will need in the beginning:

- scouts to discover new planets

- a capital ship, i prefer the colony one

- some light frigates

which type of tech?

-is the enemy less than 4 jumps away (or is it a small map) i prefer military techs in the beginning and start to build up a fleet (for defense and attack)

-otherwise go for economy techs and boost your economy to make more money. you will need it later for your growing fleet

and try to colonize at least 2 new plantes/asteroids in the beginning and upgrade them to make money. that may be a good start for games against AI.

against a human opponent visit the strategy section within the forums to get some tips ;) or follow the concept "learning by doing"

Yep, you need to expand to be able to build more stuff. The TEC gets a tech in the late civic tree that gives them extra logistics slots at their planets, but otherwise what you see is what you get :) The Advent get a tech to add more tactical slots.

You'll find that it's much more efficient to get new planets at the start then to maximize production of ones you already own. Adding slots for Civic/Military structures should be saved for when you have 8 or nine planets/'roids. The only thing that you should upgrade as soon as you take a planet is the population cap for the planet. If you don't do this, it's an economic drain...

A standard start has been around many times :

3 scouts,

cap factory ( then cap, Marza for myself, but some prefer a colonizer ),

a crystal extractor,

then the two metal extractors,

as many cobalts as possible.

While these are queued and depending on what the scouts report, take the nearest 'roid.

For myself, I put up two civic research structures, research fire/ice ( dending on what's in my area.. ). Start grabbing planets. After that, it's up to your style. Some SPAM LRM's.. some rush for HC's.. some go for an Econ Boom.. others turtle ( and die ) ..

Expansion is key. More is ALWAYS better. The fleet should be your first, second, third, and last thought.. if you aren't riding your fleet cap, or sweating how to raise it, there is something wrong. Five fully maxed planets with a single cap and 10 cobalts to defend them all will be obliterated by the raving hordes that will pour over your borders from an empire that has 15 mediocre planets. Fleet first.

When the game hits the midway point, there are no more free planets, and you have an economy, THEN you upgrade to trade ports, broadcast centers, and production buffs so you can afford to raise your fleet cap... or pay for the one you already have.
