It is my pleasure as a new senator of the MWC to congratulate all good peeople of fertile lands with incredible success that our empire achieved in the recent past.

We are not the fastest growing empire but the quickest to rise in ratings. Opportunities are excellent for new (and seasoned) players to make their mark on the face of Metaverse.

We are not asking anyone to defect from other respected empires. We are asking people of midlands (of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Japan, all islands) to join MWC. If desire to help a real and noble cause will regretfully make you leave existing empire so be it. Be strong in your true aligence.

We defeated G.R.O.S.S, others are shaking seeing MWC make it's way up.

Celebrate if you are an MWC member. Join us and we shall go together to the glorious future of the Mid Western Confederation.

C'mon guys, don't think the MWC is affected by the power trip so you all have no excuse not to be playing. Let's have more activity from the mighty MWC in this board.

If we don't include the South Sea Pirates, the GROSS DOOM is just 883k in score. You guys are a mere 9k behind DOOM. So play more and take out the DOOM ship with your missiles! :D

Yeah, it's a long way to the top, I've got to admit. But I am up to page 6 on the Top Players list now. Not bad since I started at page kazillion! :HOT:

A couple more games and I will hopefully get there, but sometimes the scoring is just not understandable. I did dl your scoring breakdown in the strategies section, though, and that is very helpful. I've turned off all the victory conditions now so I can only win by mil vic.

BTW, what happened with the Fellowship? You let GROSS squeak past you today. I got to go over there and congratulate them.

Did you complete your tech tree? Researching techs net you lots of points.

GROSS just got another new recruit and they had more game submissions so they are higher in points now. The two empires have been see-sawing over the last couple of days.

On your question, Ray, I believe I had 102 techs at the hour of Victory. I wasn't going to wait around just to research techs. I do, however, research the shortest time techs when I am getting to the end. I'll even research Stellar Cartography, which I never research unless I am on a larger map.

And as to Gerakken's little piece from the FSJ, I believe the reason the pirates don't steal the corn is because they're so lazy. They let us grow the corn, pick the corn, shuck the corn, and brew the liquor. Then they just sweep on in and steal the liquor! ;p

What determines player alignments is something nobody has yet to figure out. My guess is that it is based on the the number of games for each alignment and the degree of goodness/evilness for each game.

Heh. Funny thing, there is a wheat field no more than 50 feet from my house. They had two combines harvesting just last night. So I still think the farmers are on the tractors for the time being. :)
