It is my pleasure as a new senator of the MWC to congratulate all good peeople of fertile lands with incredible success that our empire achieved in the recent past.

We are not the fastest growing empire but the quickest to rise in ratings. Opportunities are excellent for new (and seasoned) players to make their mark on the face of Metaverse.

We are not asking anyone to defect from other respected empires. We are asking people of midlands (of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Japan, all islands) to join MWC. If desire to help a real and noble cause will regretfully make you leave existing empire so be it. Be strong in your true aligence.

We defeated G.R.O.S.S, others are shaking seeing MWC make it's way up.

Celebrate if you are an MWC member. Join us and we shall go together to the glorious future of the Mid Western Confederation.

I bought the first one when it came out... then i kicked myself when the directors cut came out...

I've learn't my lesson.. I'm going to wait till all 3 some out in the directors cut boxed set :)

This version is the full theatrical release. I'm going to rent it as well. I haven't seen the movie. The extended version (The director says he hates to call em director's cuts) will be the one out in Nov. That's the one I will buy.

I have the full(directors cut) version of LOTR's and I will buy the same for the Two Towers, although I personally found the 2nd movie to be far inferior to the 1st.

Also the case with the Matrix I've been told.

I think one of the problems is sometimes the first is so groundbreaking and a new story that the second just doesn't compete. It becomes a case of you better do far better with the second just to have an impression it was as good.

Unfortunately, the tendency is not to do quite as good or just as good with the second with the result people perceive a marked decrease in quality.

Good heavens. I actually agree with Pontius about a sci-fi movie being a piece of crap (Matrix Reloaded).

This is apparently the week for shakeups at the core of the Metaverse. I'm now waiting for MM77 to join up with Gamma Squad and for Ray and Pontius to shake hands, follow it with a manly hug, and join MWC! :D

This is all Kit's fault!!!! If he hadn't left, this wouldn't have happened!!!!!!!

Wait - at a second reading, it seems that you're indicating that you haven't seen the movie yourself and are going on secondhand info. Ah, everything's all right again.

The second Godfather was the best. :-)

And I think ESB was the best of the original Star Wars trilogy.

But you're right, good sequels are the exception, not the rule.

I also agree in general with Pontius (strange). Although I think that the Empire Strikes Back, Aliens, and T2 are some exceptions to the rule. It seems that the Two Towers was intended to only be a filler to get you from the excellent first movie to (what had better be an) excellent third movie. That is not to say that there weren't excellent parts to TTT (The Two Towers).

T2 was definitely alot better done than T1. Ahhnold had actually learned to pretend to act by then. Empire... It was good... Starwars was better. Aliens was better than Alien. But after Aliens... It went down fast. I haven't seen the twin towers. I'm gonna go rent it. I was interested to see what the second would be since they shot them all simultaneously. I'll have to rent the director's cut of the first as some of the extra scenes they shot for that post movie release (1) explain some things you see in 2.

If you haven't noticed I usually wait for video... I'd rather pay the 3 bux, and contribute the other 28 I would have paid at the movies into the kids college fund.

I would guess that uber-Matrix fans would not care how good or bad Matrix Reloaded reviews as. I did not find the movie to be half bad myself, but then again I never go in with high expectations for a sequel. I get surprised by one sometimes, but generally not.
