downloading subscriber blinds

I've attempted to download a blind from the subscriber only area but nothing happened. the page shows my subscriber information and expiration date and time (to the second no less) but won't let me download.

NO impulse, NO flash and NO third party cookies allowed in this browser set-up.

ah, but I am using IE7 to attempt this. how you doing Seth?

I don't see any issues in IE7.  You should log off, clear your cache and cookies, and try again.

the only problem there is the other sites for which I have access cookies also, but... I understand what you're saying.

and a technical question; why don't cookies get updated when something changes???

didn't work. I also am unable to rate skins when using IE7. However, I can do both when using safari which has different security settings, so, let's try this from a different perspective.

are subscriber only skins and rating privilages accessed via wincustomize.com?

are cookies delivered via wincustomize.com?

do either of these two privilages require the use of flash?

just to mention. I have to use safari to upload skins as I believe that my security settings (and not using flash) impact the process.

Flash is required to upload skins and images.  However, only Flash 9 is supported because Flash 10 is breaking the upload process.

WinCustomize does use cookies, so you will need those enabled.

Greg...I couldn't download the skins with Opera (my fave browser)...but when I switched to ie7 went slickly. Are you on Vista, or XP? I'm on Vista (grrr).

Doing fine, howz bayou? (LOL...in honor of Mardi Gras).

Here's a link to Flash Player 9: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14266&sliceId=2

O...kay, do I need flash to download from the subscriber area then? Are cookies for subscriber areas sent via wincutomize. com or from another *.com?

XP. SP2, you know, it does seem that all the hype for vista was premature.

Cookies for WinCustomize should be from wincustomize.com, so if you can't afford to lose all your cookies then clearing the ones for it(wincustomize.com) should do the trick.

If you use CCleaner,it has the option to only clear cookies you don't want to keep. Scan first, then go to Tools,Cookies, and select the keepers.

you're correct, I don't use it and just thinking out loud here; I don't remember a time when manufacturers offered you your choice of two OS?

I can only speak for IE where one is allowed to make exceptions to accept cookies from specific sites. I block first and third party cookies but do have some allowances, wincustomize being one of those.
