University Network

Impossible to play online

I'm currently at university until the end of April.  I haven't been able to play a single online game and I was wondering if it might be because of the university network.  I have never been able to connect to a skirmish or pantheon game.  I might connect to some people, but then it will boot me saying that "You have been disconnected from the NAT facilitator".  I have been able to get into the lobby of a couple custom games, but then my ping is aoun 2900 ms, which is unplayable, so I leave.

Has anyone else been having this problem?

I am also experiencing this problem and i think that it is probably my school network aswell. I haven't been able to play a single mulitplayer game of any type, i always get the "Failed to connect to a NAT facilitator try again later" and then get booted. Its extreemly frustrating because the multiplayer was one of the most attractive parts of this game

Are you using wired or wireless university connection? When i was in college, wireless was locked down tight but they were much looser with wireless.

If you are using wired, most likely they are blocking P2P traffic inwhich case you are most likely out of luck. I think Frogboy mentioned something about proxy servers. That might alleviate this issue?

Utimately you need to be able to let traffic on certains ports get to your computer, if they cant get there, no demigod (unless someone can tell me otherwise) :(
