Kill Sedna

Kill Sedna

This is a thread for pro players to add semi-detalied guides on how to kill a sedna, because im tired of noobs rage-quitting because they think sedna is cheap or they are too stupid to actually change the build to counter sedna.

XD, i know the first paragraph sounds rage driven, XD, just trying to set the mood, lets help our little newb friends and tell them how to kill Sednas and QoTs.

I "might" attack Reg or TB if the opportunity arrises, but I run from the rest; most my abilities are for team heal/buffs. I might play very different if I ever played 1v1s.

As Sedna I am usually pretty confident to go in against 2 DGs, especially if I have minions backing me up. Primarily just to hassle, better to keep 2 DGs busy in one lane and let my team mates hold the others.

You really need to time it with a wave of creeps.

Yeah you will never get a lot of kills, but you should always have the lowest deaths.

Once you have ranked up a little, then it is usually best to team up and work on getting those assist kills.

Killing Sedna though, I think is pretty tough, the only time it happens to me reguarly is when I am severely out levelled or out itemed.

I don't see how people can lose to Sedna. She has great survivability, yes, but she can't attack for shit.

Then you're playing very weak Sedna's.  I almost if not everytime, get highest damage, kills, least amount of deaths, gold, reinforcements, buildings, and assists.

My strat for taking on Sedna, which works for me pretty much everytime is this: Using Reg, I throw mines down before Sedna grenade style, whether Sedna crosses those mines are up tp her, then I nail her with my auto attack since I usually have scope for extra range, following by throwing down mark of the betrayer.... Sedna will usually heal at this point, in which mark fo the betrayer denies Sedna some of that health, I then start throwing more mines to take out her creeps as well as her self, never relenting and constantly bombarding her with auto attack and mines. By this time Sedna will usually try to run and heal, which is time to cast another Mark of the betrayer... she is slowed down as a result and I can keep pounding her giving me the kill.

Just so you know, this build I use is heavily reliant on fast and powerful auto-attack as well as AOF. So far, it has worked

Mines can be easily avoided by just watching the outlines of them being placed, I will always attack you from the side as not to run into the obvious forward placed mines.  If I do get hit by the mines, I will heal, back up while you are most likely chasing me with auto-attack + MotB, while my minions pound you.  As soon as you lose a bit of heal, I will turn around and pounce you.  If you try to mine again, you will miss, giving me more time to attack.  At this point my regen and bishops will heal me back to full, and you will be very, very low on health.  You will retreat, but by then you will get a 2nd pounce, and most likely die and/or retreat back to your base.

If you can't take her on, then go do something else like kill creeps, create a lane by destroying towers, capture flags, or get a teammate to double team her with you, etc.

Good advice.  Aganist a great Sedna, you will be doing this often.

From rank 3 heal removes negative effects, as a consequence I am pretty sure MOTB will do nothing to Sedna if she heals herself with rank 3 or above heal. The mark is removed by the heal without doing damage. I certainly haven't noticed MOTB doing damage once I have rank 3 heal, although potentially it could be but the red damage no. is not shown. It also removes the slow from mines.

Stuns/interupts + spike damage or very high sustained auto-attack DPS such as Regulus.

Most of time though, you'll need 2 DGs to take out a good defensive Sedna. You can't kill her alone, but she can't really kill you either if you are careful.

Sedna is not a Pounce/Heal spammer early game...  she get's 2 of each.

Interupt one heal early and she is dead...  Interupt is there for that very reason if you don't use all your skills how can you compete?

I did a game against a near immortal Sedna. Boy, that was humiliating at times.

I won in the end by not confronting her, keeping her warscore down through ninja capping her flags and by munching her defenses.

I zoomed out farther than usual so I could run or 'port the moment I saw her coming. Running being kinda hard with Rook.

Whenever she got close, she pounded me silly, silenced my teleport and kept her health up in the middle of my bloody tower farm.

Her staying power is simply amazing.
