An Unclean Beast Build

Originally I was planning on calling this the "Tele-Raper" since that's sort of the idea with this .. but I suspect that would be censored out. Tele-Stomper? Who knows.. the name is largely irrelevant. Hopefully the run down of this build will give you some new tactics for your demigod games and make your opponents scream in frustration.

Level 1: Spit I
Level 2: Ooze I
Level 3: Diseased Claws I
Level 4: Spit II
Level 5: Foul Grasp I
Level 6: Ooze II
Level 7: Ooze III
Level 8: Post Mortem
Level 9: (Save)
Level 10: Plague I, Ooze IV
Level 11: Spit III
Level 12: Inner Beast I
Level 13: Inner Beast II
Level 14: Inner Beast III
Level 15: Acclimation
Level 16: Spit IV
Level 17: Putrid Flow
Level 18: Diseased Claws II
Level 19: Diseased Claws III
Level 20: Foul Grasp II or Improved Attributes

Spit loses effect later in the game if there are multiple characters that can remove this affliction, and in a match with Multiple Sednas or Erebus you may wish to replace levels 11 and 16-19 with improved attributes. Early game spit is still useful even against these characters. Plague is mainly for preventing use of the Heart of Life and is imperitive to get this as early as possible. Level 20 is really open, though Foul Grasp upgrade seems the most useful as long as there is a mana flag on the map.

Starting Items: Banded Mail, Healing Potion, Teleport Scroll (wait a few seconds)
Item 2: Scale Mail 400
Item 3: Scaled Helm 550
Item 4: Gauntlets of Brutality 400
Item 5: Nimoth Chest Plate 1500
Item 6: Heart of Life 4250
Item 7: Narmoths Ring 3560 (Sell Banded Mail)
Item 8: Slayers Wraps 2860 (Sell Scaled Helm)
Total: 13520

Other Stuff:
Item xx: Mage Slayer 7680 (Sell Gauntlets of Brutality)
Item xx: Cloak of ElfinKind 12000
Item xx: Ashkandor 17680 (Sell Scale Mail)

Favor:
Poisoned Dagger or Anklet of Speed

Always keep teleport scrolls handy for assaulting demigods attempting to take friendly flags or towers. Mana should no longer be an issue once the heart of life is obtained, though it might be a good idea to carry combat mana potions just in case you fall short of using an ability during combat. This build specializes in one on one combat. Fighting multiple demigods will prove extremely difficult as UB has no means of healing himself. The key to success is to get your enemies alone and grasp them after you've turned on ooze and applied spit, to prevent them from using any escape/healing abilities or moving off the acid pool. If your enemies have specialized in movement, you may wish to drop the scale mail a little earlier for boots of speed.

Hope that helps ^^

I'm sorry mate, it might just as well be a good guide, but when I see this:

Other Stuff:
Item xx: Mage Slayer 7680 (Sell Gauntlets of Brutality)
Item xx: Cloak of ElfinKind 12000
Item xx: Ashkandor 17680 (Sell Scale Mail)

I am done with reading.

Got to agree. Putting almost 40k of Artifacts into a guide gives the wrong idea. Basically that you are playing against the AI. Also, I take issue with your tele-stomper build as there is nothing teleporty about it. Carrying a teleport scroll or 2 is not a distinct build, it is something you should do most of the time. Now, if you were using the amulet of teleportation and gave some sort of insight on how to use it to "tele-rape" that would be fine. Otherwise is just another sub par UB build.

No 1500 gloves to keep people from running away, once you waste a tele scroll your enemy will simply walk away from you.  Need 1500gloves, wand of speed to deal with runners as UB.  Also not having the 1700 helm for regen or the 1500 one for mana pool, will make you walk all the way back to base after each fight pretty much.

with that kind of items you might win just with putting all points in Enhanced Attributes. :P

Anyway, the best tips in this guide is the promotion of plague to counter heart of life. hadn't thought of that before.

That's old news, the new news is that level 5 exploding skill doesn't work if the mob is plagued, which is significant for killing large swarms of kreeps towards endgame, so you'd have to pick between demigod killing and mob farming when you hit level 10.

Unless we are playing different games, I'm pretty sure that artifacts exist. Which is to say that you =might= be purchasing them and leaving them out fails to provide a full picture to people trying to learn the game. (Just like not telling people to purchase the girdle of giants with an oak Divine Justice build if it reaches that point). However, to those that are not drunk and/or high, it should have been clear that placing those items in an 'other' category, removing the #'s, and the 'total price' was an indication that  these artifacts would not often be purchased in the general scheme of the game, and generally speaking the first set of items listed will serve for the entirety of the match (heck you might not even get all 8 of them).

To mana regen concerns.. once you get the heart your mana regen concerns will be solved. Before then, yes you will be returning to base often, but you are just as likely (if not more so) to return to the base with UB for health reasons as you are for mana. However, if you find you are having extensive mana issues.. you could sell the 550 helm for the 1750 helm, then sell that later for the heart.

Xeno: I wasn't aware that plague and explosion don't work together. Both debuffs still appear on my character .. is this a bug?

Wand of speed is debatable.. I'm not knocking the item mind you, but when I use an 'instant' item it pauses my character for an equivalent of the ammount of lag/ping in the game before using it, and often lets my enemy escape. That is.. I would need to know before hand that the enemy intended to run (and when they intended to run) in order to use it offensively. Personally I think it would be better to use boots of speed (as I mentioned) and give up an armor slot, if your enemies are trying to max out speed. However, there's still a free slot available for consumables if your computer doesn't have the problem with pauses using instant items.

I almost never get ooze. The health loss is just too much for a DG that relies on it so much. I focus on Spit and Foul Grasp and ignore Plague since it stops enemies from exploding and the damage it causes is minimal.
