PROXY high ping

I am constantly connecting via proxy and getting 600+pings to 1 or 2 players. This has just started happening very hard to get a game going. Any way to fix this??

I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this!  Phew!

Same problem for me, my pings to some players have been in the 800s but to others have been a much more normal 130ish for the last 24 hours or so.  I cant tell if it's proxy connections as I tend to play in Skirmish and Pantheon where it doesnt seem to tell you the types of connection, but this would explain it.

Sucks all the fun outta the game to play DG in slo-mo :-( assuming you can find players willing to play in slo-mo :-(

Seems widespread. I was playing games with two mates in the staes yesterday (im in Aust) and though i could connect to them fine and they to me, they could not connect to each other with anything under 705ping, and they are both Central USA and normally get about 70 ping.

Took us about 15 mins of rehosting and recconecting to get a playable ping, but then we suffered de-synchs the whole time till the game finally dropped.

I'd say there is some server issuses as they are setting up room for the demo.

Hopefully sorted out soon.

WORKAROUND

If you normally don't connect to proxies you can have someone else in your game rehost. Once the game is hosted by someone else, you can join the game for a (possible) direct connection. As far as I can tell, rejoining does not always work.

This works for people who aren't the host but still have issues connecting to each other and don't usually require proxy connections.
