so, when I try and start up demigod I get the message "Unable to creat direct 3d-please ensure system has current video drivers" I just updated my drivers though, so I'm not sure whats going on
Please go to Start->Run(or Start Search in Vista) and type 'dxdiag' and hit enter. Once everything loads, please click the "Save all information" button and attach the output file (called DxDiag.txt) in an email to [email protected].
Also, please attach your Game.Prefs file from the following directory:
(My)Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod
If you want to play now, I would try a fresh install and see if that solves you problem, while you are waiting for them to get back to you.
I'm having the exact same problem, but I think I have Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family. Do I still do what Dash said?

A friend of mine gets this error too.

I've read intel cards won't work with the game can someone confirm this?

If you use an Intel integrated video chipset lower than 965/x3000 then yes, it is because you don't meet the minimum requirements (such is the case for both of the above posters). The only solution there would be to upgrade or use a machine which does meet the reqs.
I updated my card, straight from the Intel website, but I still get the same message. I'm not sure how to check if the update actually worked. I'm terrible with computers.... any suggestions?
Drivers won't make any difference. You would need a hardware upgrade, as in a new video card or a new machine.
