How to bypass the unable to login issue?

Demigod crashed when trying to reload the game lobby. Since then I have been unable to login to Demigod. I get the infamous "You have entered an invalid username/password" error even though I have entered the correct information. This happened on Friday too. Normally I wouldn't complain as it usually comes back after 5 minutes, but both now and on Friday it isn't coming back. I wasn't able to log back in until Saturday morning.

I emailed stardock tech support but they didn't respond until today (Monday). Unfortunately I doubt I will get a response to my follow up email until I am able to login again, so the question is, if I am in this state, is there a way to get back in the game other then waiting for hours?

I am really surprised that when I try to login, if stardock detects I am already logged in that it blocks me, instead of "kicking" whomever is logged in right now (which 99% of the time is due to a crash).

i fixed this by right clicking my game in inpulse and clicking re-register game.

Loaded game and login worked fine again.

I transport my computer a fair bit so i have had this problem a couple of times now, the game must detect an IP mismatch or something but this seems to fix it for me.

In my experience, which is only once, this is fixed in roughly 15 minutes - it's a server side issue where you're not timed out after a crash. Exxcentric's fix may work, however as I said I haven't experience this issue more than once so I haven't tried it. Please let us know if you do come across anything that works as this issue affects multiple users.
