TB's fire build

TB's fire build

TB and the meaning of life

You know, most people, at first, get a game and want to play the easiest, simplest char.  In this case, it's usually regulus, lol.  After playing the game and seeing all the ins and outs, I want the most complicated DG... assuming it pays off (QoT = fail).  In this case, TB for me.

Ice build is the bees knees for tight knit team games, but in open matches, fire build is the way to go, imho.  If you can't work closely with teammates, ice build lacks the damage output for solo'ing a lane.

2 helms + staff of renewal, helped me figure out a few things.

Fireball is by far the best tower killer.  You stay out of range, it's relatively cheap for the damage after lvl 2, and has a quick cooldown.

Fire Ring is only useful when an enemy DG is closing in or to help deter or turn the fight when a friendly DG is trying to escape past you.  (sometimes I get at least lvl 1 or 2 in freeze, that delay plus the movement speed slow is perfect to help my guys get out.  Plus you can drop to the ground from fire to ice instantly, just keep hitting the key and you only lose like .2 secs)

Fire explosion is good in lvl 1 form until later (unless you are swimming in mana).  Clears minions quick, but not useful for damage output until the last 2 levels.

Fire Ring + sigil of vitality = enemy runs.

Fire Ring VS not-so-good DA is great.  They always run right into it and/or swap with you, putting themselves in the damage area.

If anyone has more tips, please let me know.  I'm always looking for ways to optimize ol TB.  He's such a versatile DG, but you have to know which build you're taking early on.  I've yet to find a good hybrid build.  The interrupt is very limited in usefulness.  DA, Ere, QoT, Sedna, ETC all have near instant abilities, so you aren't going to purposefully get one on them (I've tried on sedna, but even if you're 100% ready, by time you click and the ability goes through, she's already finished healing).  So that leaves you with freeze (very nice!), rain of ice (good AoE, but expensive and not dmg heavy), and slow downs.  Slowing the enemy doesn't help much if they're chasing you, vs a fire build speed increase + any speed increasing item is much better.

No this game. http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/1094340/player/44457/

Nice try though.
End of quote

Oh yeah... Thanks for reminding me that game. Your team Pwned us, because I played really bad that day. My fault that my team lost. One of my worst games ever.

The thing is that when i say, "your team" i mean Exborderline and Lordi17. They did all the work, while you were wandering around killing creeps. they were literally carrying you, wrastler.

Thanks for posting this link. I had my doubts that you are not a good tb, but now i am sure.

Your TB sucks.

End of morpheas768's quote

0:30: You get Heavan's Wrath. Not sure exactly why but whatever. You waste it blowing it on to two demigods with monks at high hp while your ally disengaged, then goes back to cap the flag. Should have used it to farm the creep wave he may miss.

0:40-1:00: You lock, get hit, then you run. Then you come back, try to re-lock but the flag turns. So you've burnt a teleport to get the flag early, then give it up early. Now you aren't going to have the mana to get the flag back in a long time unless your opponent screw up.

1:15: Morpheus dies, not totally sure how. Looks like he wasn't thinking about the fireball+bite. Too bad there is no rewind button for this.

1:25: Steal a creep wave from Oak to level up.

1:40: Run into towers and get hit 4 times for no apparent reason at all. Drop down to 450 hp and very nearly die. Beast is stupid for chasing you so far with no chance for a kill.

2:45: Heaven's Wrath the enemy Oak... doesn't matter much though 250 isn't enough to break the stalemate.

3:20: Your oak has to give up the lane anyway

3:30: Burn Wrath on their TB who you arne't in range to engage and still has full hp. Meanwhile, your oak is capping mid, you could have farm'd his lane and gotten that XP instead.

4:00: Your Ereb 2v1's their Torch and UB because you haven't shopped and so you have no HP to engage. Morph makes another bad move, and has Ooze on while the HP flag turns, so he drops to low HP and dies. You didn't contribute to this in anyway at all. To this death but whatever.

4:30: Use a Ring of Fire on a tower, then leave your Erebus to solo the tower.

4:40: Turn around, engage their TB thru towers, take damage, fire a Wrath on yourself again. Interestingly enough, I notice you have Fire Aura so you're fast enough to easily escape from their TB.

5:30: Go shopping for first time (good). Though you haven't shopped yet you don't have much of a level advantage which is weird. Buy regen, use your wrath to help Oak finally (it's been off of CD for awhile though).

6:20: Enemy creep wave dies on towers while your Wrath is on CD. Should have used it then. Though you do use it on the next creep wave to 'help' Oak by dealing 250 damage to TB in exchange for stealig his creeps. You also have full mana right now. Any reason why you aren't fireballing' their UB who is just creeping in your face?

6:45: Finally notice that UB left the HP flag, you cap.

7:15: You work the tower while a 3v2 happens on the other side (nothing wrong with that, dont' know why 3v2 is happening right now anyway)

7:20: Morpheus dies again, but it's a suicide. Another time Morpheus dies without your help at all... good job!

7:40: Their HP tower goes down, you go for gold flag. You do just fine when no one is ever putting pressure on you.

8:30: Give up HP flag to go fireball a TB in the middle, die by towers in a pointless chase.

9:30: Buy yourself items instead of currency. Your team is at WS4 right now with no currency. Janook's team has it though.

10:30: Lock the HP flag though your Erebus is walking behind you and you could probably contest it. Their UB and Oak is busy and not walking behind their TB so you would have been able to hold out long enough for your Ereb to come. then you could have locked their HP flag.

11:00: Your Oak is getting manhandled by Janook and can't content Morhpeus for the XP flag either. You have their Gold flag and a good hold on the HP flag at the cost of giving up the rest of the map.

11:20: Janook takes your gold flag uncontested, you walk behind and save your tower and scare him off just barely.

12:50: Janook dies to your Ereb. No thanks to you, but at least you drained him mana with that prior engagement? Warscore 5, you shop and still your team dosen't have currency, you have 1828 gold right now (about 15 seconds after you shopped).

14:00... Abandon the HP flag to go use a Fire Nova in the middle of both creep waves...

14:40: you go capture the HP flag. Meanwhile, your team kicks face and wins a 3v2 with three kills completely without your help. Except maybe 250 damage for a Wrath since you have one assist.

15:30: Give up the HP flag, don't even contest their UB for your XP flag. Go shopping, looks like someone finally got Currency. Let UB spit on a tower, to finish it up, without even fireballing him for it. You just ran away.

16:45: Your Erebus continues to kick ass and take names, getting another kill without your help.

17:00: You buy Blacksmith and Armory with no creeps. Not a strictly 'bad' decision' since you'll have to buy it anwyay later, but not what I would have done.

17:45: You finally do some combat, you get a fireball killed on a weakened UB. You then finish up one of their Gold towers while your Oak shields you.

18:30: Stand in middle fireballing their tower while your Erebus 2v1's. You come eventually and help with a fireball again.

19:00: Another fireball assist, wow, you're actually doing things! It' sonly 20 minutes into the game almost and your team has been fed a grand total of 12 kills, only 3 of which you helped at all for.

19:30: Concedes.

In a pinch, you did little but stand by towers if there was a demigod anywhere near by the whole game and only did stuff if you were ignored, except towards the end where you actually did stuff.

YEAH YOU TOTALLY KICKED MORPHEUS' ASS YOU BADASS YOU!

For some matchups fire tb is just bad. 3v3 with 2 assasins or only 1 general not being Oak/UB you usually don't wan't to go TB. There's simple not much you can do vs a UB/Oak/Sed or LE stack.
