Needs to Get It Done for Christmas

My husband and I moved into our new home this past July.  As soon as we moved in, we started our new jobs, so weren't really able to get any work done on our place.  We just stuck stuff where ever it would fit, and kept saying we would do it next week lol.  However, my husband and I are very lucky to have the careers that we do.  My husband is a teacher, so he gets a lot of breaks, including the Christmas break that is coming up here soon.  I work from home I can plan my schedule around whatever is going on in our lives.  These factors provide us with an awesome opportunity to do some much needed remodeling around the house. Its really just some little decorating and reorganizing we still have to. We only have to do some traveling on Christmas day, so we have a solid week and a half to work! It's going to be awesome because we both love to work with our hands.

In homes bathrooms always tend to be the place that needs some sort of work. I love our bathroom because its outdated with its lovely pink and gray tile. Is that weird lol?  I love it because it makes it really unique.  I do want to get some brushed metal stuff to put in there. I want to get a new shower curtain to and we could use some new towels. What we really need is some storage and towel racks. My husband is really good at making things, so any handy work that needsto get done he can do.  That will save us some money.  We want to look into getting some plumbing fixed in there as well. I think that that is the place that we will seek to get done first.  We have to use it so much that it would be nice to have it all functioning and looking nice.

Bedrooms are always fun to decorate.  Our master bedroom and spare bedroom need some major decorating work.  We painted our bedroom it a light bluish-gray color and our furniture is a red wood with black rod iron decorations and our spare bedroom is painted a light green color.  They both need to be organized much better though. I'm not pregnant or anything, but my crazy mom has already started buying us unique baby blankets for when we do have kids lol.  We need a place to store them in the spare bedroom.  As for our master bedroom, I want to move our bed and put our night stands at the end of the bed along with the black rod iron rack we already have down there. I want to get a little desk for the corner of the room so we can watch some of our favorite shows on Hulu while we are lying in bed.  I need a place to put all of these and my husband needs a place to put his mma gear.  I really feel like the bed room is the sanctuary of the house, so I want to make it well-organized and as peaceful as possible. I hope that we get it all done before the break is over. It would make for a wonderful Christmas present for each other! Peace.
