how to download galaxy forge

can anyone help this newb and comp illiterate download galaxy forge? apparently its a rar file? i don't know what that means but windows says i need something i don't have and suggests winzip among others- so i pay thirty some dollars for winzip 14 and galaxy forge seems to download but all i get is a list of compressed files that i can't run

Never listen to windows recommendations, there is almost always freeware avaliable that works almost as well. In this case 7-zip.
