Wikileaks banned by Mastercard

Mastercard, the credit card for the master race

Mastercard (amongst others) has suspended Wikileaks accounts on 'moral' grounds (after all, they are terrorists, non?).
The same morals don't prevent them from embracing the Klu Klux Klan, like Stephen Colbert pointed out.

Hence this. :)

If this KKK dude held up VISA card would VISA be evil too? I sure hope nobody "evil" uses life saving drugs, the rest of us will be out of luck. Do you really buy into this way of thinking? Is the Colbert school of thought that superficial? He's a comedian making a good buck, nothing more.

No, he is correct.  You are confused.

dude, you are confused.

How so? Explain to me why I'm confused. It takes more than just someone saying so. If your article was an attempt at satire, fine, but it didn't come off that way. The humor section would have been a better choice. Now just because some idiot holds up a Master Card, why should I believe MC is evil? Nobody is forcing anyone to use their product are they? Jimmy Carter took a photo with Kin Kong IL, does that make Jimmy evil? Oh... wait...maybe you do have a point. ;)

I'm sure Colbert is happy to have so many devote followers. I have no issue with him, he makes me chuckle from time to time. I just know exactly what he knows, that he is an entertainer in which some folks take too seriously.

By the script kiddie's logic, all liberals must be incestuous! Since some are defending the Columbia professor.

Just using an analogy to compare to your logic. Do you understand that concept...dude?

...and you blather about Colbert on a political forum? There's your confusion... dude.

dude, the concept of humor seems to elude you the nearer your convitctions are to the butt of the joke.

the basic premise of the joke is: mastercard suspends wikileaks beause of, let's say moral reasons. or code of conduct if you will ... absolutely no political pressure involved.

ku klux klan is using mastercard (amongst others) to get donations, yet mastercard (amongst others) sees no 'moral' problems making business with them.  freedom of speech etc. etc.

so far so good. now this one may be harder to understand to some: Many people think, that the kkk is evil! even eviler than wikileaks!! so that's why the suspension of wikileaks on moral grounds can qualify as hypocrisy. and mastercard is an easy pun on master race, which is what makes this fun. come up with a good pun on visa and you are set for another joke.

and colbert is a very cynical political commentator, so he fits right in.

see, dude? it's funny, it's true, and you don't like it. no problem, dude.

And again if your attempt is humor, why post it in the political section when we have a totally narly humor section dude? Sorry, I have'nt been to the KKK's donation website. Are you thinking that might be a regular stop for readers before coming to JU? Maybe it's just me, but I don't get a laugh out of racism, leaked sensitive materials, or any combination of the two. If that's your kick, I'm not going to knock you for it. It's quite common here to post a funny photo in conjunction with a serious topic. Your brief commentary eluded to neither. No harm, no foul, since you explained you're going for laughs. BTW welcome to this side of Stardock.
